THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I cannot tell you how I have come about this information, but it's plain to see when looking at the national headlines today. Nothing I say here is new, but I will try to convey here what I have learned in a concise and succinct way.
The oil corporations, along with the military-industrial alliance, have given the Obama administration a date. I do not know exactly when that date is, but I speculate it is sometime this summer. On or before that date, the Obama administration must have the United States committed to war with Iran, or else these major campaign financiers will pull their support of Obama and hand it over to the Republican challenger, whoever that may be, thus insuring a Republican victory in November, effectively making Obama a one-term president.
So now we will see exactly what kind of metal Barack Obama is made of. Will he sacrifice American lives and bring the horrors of modern total-war to the Iranian people, just for reelection purposes, or will he stand up to the corporate elitists who obviously don't have American best interests in mind? Watch the president. The answer comes very soon. One way or another however, either this year or next, Democrat of Republican in the Whitehouse, this nation WILL BE at full scale war with Iran very soon.

(FoxNews) - Russia and China vetoed a United Nations resolution Saturday calling on Syrian President Bashar Assad to step down, despite fresh appeals by President Obama and other world leaders following the deadly assault by Syrian forces on the city of Homs.
Activists say Syrian forces killed more than 200 people in what may be the bloodiest confrontation of the uprising against Assad's regime. Leading up to the U.N. Security Council meeting, Obama condemned the "unspeakable assault" and called on other nations to support the Arab League-backed resolution.

(Irish Independent News) - A HOMILY delivered at Knock shrine by the Bishop of Raphoe, Philip Boyce, is being investigated by the Director of Public Prosecutions following a formal complaint by a leading humanist who claims the sermon was an incitement to hatred.
The gardai have confirmed to former Fine Gael election candidate John Colgan that they have prepared and forwarded a file to the DPP after he made allegations that the address by Dr Boyce was in breach of the Prohibition of Incitement to Hatred Act, 1989.
The homily, entitled: "To Trust in God" was delivered to worshippers during a novena at the Marian shrine in Co Mayo last August and subsequently reported in the media, including The Irish Times, under the headline: "'Godless culture' attacking church, says bishop."
Mr Colgan, a retired chartered engineer and economist from Leixlip, Co Kildare, referred in his formal complaint to two key passages in Dr Boyce's homily which he believes broke the law.
One of the passages referred to the Catholic Church in Ireland being "attacked from outside by the arrows of a secular and godless culture"....
Yes, I said it, and I'll say it again. IF YOU ARE AN ORTHODOX AND PRACTISING CHRISTIAN, THAN MILITANT SECULARISM IS REALLY NO BETTER THAN MILITANT ISLAM. In the end the results will be the same under both. Stand up for your faith, and you'll find yourself behind bars, that is, if you're lucky! It is strange how Secularism and Islam are at war with each other, since they are both cut from the same cloth. Maybe it's just a competition for dominance thing.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: When the United States government attacked Iraq, we were told it was to make the world safe for democracy. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but it certainly hasn't made the Middle East safe for Christianity. As bad as Saddam Hussein was, there was relative peace in Iraq, and while I certainly will not defend that monster, I will say that after he was gone the plight of Christians in Iraq got exponentially worse. You cannot convince me that the Pentagon didn't know this would happen. You cannot convince me that President G.W. Bush wasn't informed. They knew this would likely happen, but the truth is, they didn't care. They had bigger fish to fry in their opinion, and the health and safety of Christians in the Middle East was of little concern to them.
While all this was going on in Iraq, the Bush administration was instructing the CIA to orchestrate the violent uprisings of radical Muslims all over the Middle East, to overthrow the regimes of dictators that had become no longer useful. After Bush was gone, President Barack Obama continued this operation. Under his administration we saw these plots come to fruition first in Egypt, then in Yemen, then in Saudi Arabia, and finally in Libya. The uprisings were successful in Egypt, replacing the dictator regime with radical Muslim groups. In Libya, not so successful, as the dictator fought back. In response, the United States (via NATO) launched a military bombing campaign to aid radical Muslims as they overthrew the Libyan dictator. This brought success, and now radical Muslims control Libya too. Again, the CIA is likely operating in Syria to effect the same type of revolution, and now the federal government (along with their agents in the national media) are beginning to beat the war drums against Iran again. Iran is the final domino to fall. It's the big one our government has been salivating over for a decade now. The United States of America has been orchestrating a decade long campaign against the players in the Middle East, and as a result, Christians are suffering and dying. What does our government have to say about this? Of course actions against Christians are condemned. These are the words of the U.S. government, but the actions say something completely different. In word the United States government finds this regrettable, in action these Christians are clearly expendable. Actions speak louder than words.
Why? Why would the United States government do this? That seems to be the mystery that nobody can get their heads fully around. The official story comes from the G.W. Bush administration goes something like this: In the past, the United States sought a policy of stability in the Middle East at the expense of liberty for those who live there. As a result we ended up with neither. So now the policy of the United States is to work toward liberty for those who live in the Middle East, in the hope that we might achieve some eventual stability.
Well, that sounds like a noble plan on the surface, and it certainly sells to a large audience of Americans. But is it true? Is this really the one and only reason why the United States would commit trillions of dollars and American lives to military campaigns in the Middle East? Or is there something more? Secondly, even if it is true, and we have no other motive than to bring "liberty" to Middle Eastern Arabs, is that really how Americans want their tax dollars spent? Is it really our "responsibility" in the world to ensure that every corner of the planet gets a crack at democracy? Is that what our Founding Fathers believed? Is that the purpose of the United States of America?
A review of the book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism tells a different story. Another book entitled Hubbert's Peak: The Impending World Oil Shortage helps to put everything into better focus. It would appear the United States of America is trying to strategically position itself for a coming worldwide oil shortage that is going to plunge the entire industrialised world into the greatest economic depression ever. The intent, so it would seem, is to negotiate oil contracts with ALL the Arab nations possible, to deplete their oil supply first, as much as possible, so that when the "peak oil" economy hits, and production can no longer match consumption, and the price of gasoline shoots up to $10/gallon, the United States will be in perfect position to start extracting oil shale at a competitive price to the rest of the world market, thus putting us on course to become the "Saudi Arabia" of the 21st century. Right now, oil shale is too expensive to extract, but in a peak oil economy, the price will finally be competitive. In the process however, we need to have people in the Middle East who are so indebted to us, they will likely negotiate oil contracts with us, or with Europe at the very least. That's where the Shock Doctrine comes in. Certain large corporations in the United States have learned how to profit off disasters. Whether natural or man-made, these disasters bring in big money to these corporations and that helps the American economy. So to appease these big campaign donors, politicians are more than willing to assure that the need for a man-made disaster (war) is always present and ready to be executed at a moment's notice. Their accomplices in the national news media are more than willing to help them by selling a propaganda snow job to the American people. Whether it's the threat of WMD's, "liberating" people from an "evil dictator," or the threat of terrorism; the United States stands ready to jump into action. When it comes to the Middle East, the result will be big money for those companies that help rebuild, and even bigger profits later when oil contracts are negotiated with the new ruling party we helped to install. All of this setting us up for an eventual peak oil economy that will again make big money for American oil corporations.
What's that about Christians in the Middle East you say? "Ah yes, them, well they will be an unfortunate but necessary sacrifice." So it would seem, as far is the U.S. government is concerned.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: At this time, I do not know how much, if any, prophetical significance this Occupy Wall Street movement has. I can say this however. WATCH EUROPE! Watch France, Italy and England in particular. Right now the frustrated masses of unemployed people are simply protesting, but it is obvious that their movement is quickly being taken over by radical anarchist (read 'Marxist') rioters. Now this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened, so don't read too much into that. What we need to be watching for is the Muslim population in Europe. If the Muslims join in with the demonstrations, we may have the beginnings of the pan-European Muslim/Marxist alliance prophesied by Catholic mystics and saints. Thus this COULD POSSIBLY be a precursor to the riots that will eventually drive the pope from Rome, or else be a dress rehearsal for that riot sometime in the future.
The group to watch are the European Muslims. If they join in the demonstrations, and those demonstrations increasingly become more violent, we will likely be treading into some prophetic territory.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Look, I don't like these Middle Eastern dictators either, but we have to give credit where credit is due. As bad as these monsters can be sometimes, they have kept radical Islam in check within their nations (for the most part), and have also kept Christians reasonably safe within their nations.
The United States Federal Government is principally behind this "Arab Spring" in the Middle East. The CIA, and other intelligence agencies, have been working in Arab nations all across the Middle East and Northern Africa since 2002. The goal of the G.W. Bush administration (continued in the Obama administration) was to topple Arab dictators and replace them with Arab democracies, both through military intervention (Iraq & Afghanistan) and through covert operations designed to whip up revolutions. The United States has been working with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and radical Muslim extremists in Libya. Now we are stirring up trouble in Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Conspiracy theories abound as to why. Many of them are credible. Which one is right? Take your pick. Your guess is as good as mine. The end result is the same however. The Middle East will be further radicalised, Israel will remain in a constant state of warfare (which benefits the United States), and the whole region will eventually be "cleansed" of all Catholic and Orthodox Christians. Could somebody explain to me again how America is a friend to Christians? Oh that's right! silly me. That only counts for Evangelicals and Liberal Protestants.

(Breitbart) - Priests in the Holy Land used their sermons on Sunday to give their blessing to the Palestinians' bid for United Nations membership.
The retired Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Michel Sabbah, the first Palestinian to hold the post since the Crusades, was to preach in the Roman Catholic church in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
A joint statement by Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran priests pledged their "support for the diplomatic efforts being deployed to win international recognition for the State of Palestine... on the June 1967 borders with Jerusalem as our capital."
The priests went further than their bishops, who in a statement this week confined themselves to a call for intensified prayer and diplomatic efforts ahead of the Palestinian membership request, to be sent to the UN Security Council on Friday.
"Palestinians and Israelis should exercise restraint, whatever the outcome of the vote at the United Nations," the bishops said.
"We call upon decision-makers and people of good will to do their utmost to achieve the long-awaited justice, peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians....
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I know this position will be highly unpopular among Americans and Israelis, but The Catholic Knight supports this move, and here are the reasons why.
First, the Palestinians (both Muslim and Christian) have been jerked around by Israel for two decades now. They've been told repeatedly they will get their independence, but for every one step forward, two are taken back. All the while Israelis continue to build illegal 'settlements' (i.e. 'colonies') on land promised to the Palestinians. Look, I am partially Native American. I fully understand what colonization is. This is how Europeans take land away from indigenous people. Every time a new 'settlement' ('colony') is built on disputed occupied territory, Israel renegotiates the terms of the peace process, proposing a smaller territory for Palestine and a larger portion for Israel, saying 'look, we already have people living there, we can't kick them out of their homes.' This is a joke, but not the funny kind, and it reminds me a great deal of what happened to my Cherokee ancestors a century and a half ago. The Palestinian people (both Muslims and Christians) have been living there for centuries. They've gone under various rule. Once they were part of Jordan. Before that they were part of the British Empire. Before that they were part of the Ottoman Empire, and before that the Mamluks and Crusaders. Ethnically they are Arab and Egyptian, culturally they are a mixture of Muslim and Eastern Christian. After the fall of the Roman Empire, they were primarily Christians, until the 14th century. A small minority of Palestinian (non-Israeli) Jews have always lived in the region, numbering about 4% of the population. Many of the Jews from antiquity fled this region after a revolution gone bad in 136 AD. Of those that stayed behind, many converted to Christianity. Only a tiny minority (about 4%) continued to practice Judaism.
Second, the Palestinian people (i.e. people directly descended from those who lived in this area prior to the establishment of the State of Israel), are culturally and politically distinct from the Israeli citizens. Israelis are primarily Jews of European and Russian descent, who immigrated to the region after the horrible events of World War II. They are culturally European and Russian. Their politics reflect this as well. About 80% of Israeli citizens are Jews (European or Russian descent), and a little under 20% are Arabs (Muslim or Christian). In contrast, the Palestinian territories consist of 80% Arabs (Muslims and Christians), 17% Jewish and 3% Other. What we have here are two completely different nations, and they have demonstrated for decades that they cannot live together. We can point fingers and blame all we want, but it doesn't change the fact that so long as Israel rules this occupied region, there will be endless conflict. This era of perpetual violence between Israelis and Palestinians must end.
Third, political secession has always been the most reasonable and practical solution to problems such as these. The United States of America seceded from the British Empire and established itself as an independent Union over issues less than these. Norway peacefully seceded from Sweden over issues far less than these. Political secession of the State of Palestine from the State of Israel makes the most logical and effective path toward peace. Only paranoid empires, filled with greed, will stop a peaceful democratic secession through military aggression. Two examples of this being the British Empire in 1776 and the American Empire in 1861. The question is; will Israel follow the British and American example of ruthless imperialism, or will she behave in a more civilised manner like Sweden?
Fourth, the State of Israel itself was fully recognised by the U.N. on May 11, 1949, the exact same process being requested by the Palestinian people for a Palestinian state.
Fifth, the pope himself has acknowledged that the Palestinian people have a right to their own homeland, just as much as the Israeli people.
Sixth, Catholics and Orthodox around the world are supporting this measure, if for no other reason than divine justice mandates it.
Seventh, the sole reason for overwhelming American support of Israel is the popular Evangelical Christian heresy called 'Dispensation Theology' (or 'Dispensationism') which asserts that God has two covenants running simultaneously -- one for the Christians and another for the Jews. Because of this, Dispensationism asserts that the Old Testament promises made to the genetic descendants of ancient Israel are still in full force. Dispensationism does not recognise those promises as having been fulfilled a thousand-fold in the Church. Dispensationism does not recognise the New Testament teaching that the Church is Israel, and Israel is the Church. Dispensationism does not recognise that the divine promise given to Abraham, ('I will bless those who bless you' Genesis 12:4) extends to all of his descendants (physical and spiritual), which includes not only Jews through Isaac, but also Arabs through Ishmael, and Christians through Jesus Christ. Dispensationism only applies this passage to the Jews. Therefore, many American Evangelicals (and some misguided Catholics) are under the impression that the modern State of Israel represents 'the Jews' in the most literal sense, and therefore we must 'bless' Israel in order to be blessed by God, otherwise according to the passage of Scripture, we shall be cursed by God. This is a gross perversion of the Biblical text. Nowhere in the entire Bible does God command Christians to bless a political secular state, made entirely by UN recognition, and any abuses of power it may commit against Christians and others, for the purpose of artificially creating an ethnically Jewish nation. Dispensationism is heresy! It is almost an exclusively American doctrine, promoted almost exclusively by American Evangelical televangelists. The Catholic Knight CONDEMNS it.
Eighth, I suffer from no illusions. The United States of America has painted itself into a corner. We should have remained neutral in this matter, and politically distanced ourselves from Israel decades ago. That didn't happen. While the presidency of Barack Obama did not help this situation, let us not forget that the road to Palestinian statehood was supported by both President Clinton and President G.W. Bush. We have supported political secession of the Palestinians from Israel, and we have promoted it, under all three presidents. Now our chickens have come home to roost. We can either man up to it, and vote in favour of a Palestinian State, or else we can continue to weasel around, fearing the political backlash of American Evangelicals and Jews. The time has come to put our vote where our mouth is. Either we support a Palestinian state or we don't. Guess what America! IT'S TRUTH TIME.

As I've said on this blog more times than I can count. Secularism is not a religion. It is by definition the lack of religion. Nature abhors a vacuum. Human nature is the same way. A non-religious secular society CANNOT stand against the proselytizing zeal of Islam. In a hundred matches of Islam vs. Secularism, Islam wins every one, all one-hundred of them. The only thing that changes is time. How long does the fall of Secularism take in each scenario? That's the only variable. The end result is always the same. Islam scores 100, and Secularism scores a great big fat zero! The only difference is, when it comes to western Europe, we don't have a hundred matches. We've only got about a dozen or so matches, and those are going quickly. The first nation to fall is France. Score ONE for Islam. Yes, this is a defeat for secularism, because from now on the dominant religious culture in France will be Islam. Next on the list is either England or Sweden. Germany ranks high as well. All of them are on the same road.
So that's it! We're done. This is the end game for Europe. Nothing but a massive and miraculous revival of the Christian faith, like nothing we have ever seen in the modern age, can save Europe now. Indeed the fate of Europe is entirely in God's hands. There is nothing more we mere mortals can do but pray. Practical experience tells us that things will likely continue on as they are, and any changes made by the government to immigration policy will be too little too late.
Catholic mystics and seers in centuries past warned us this day would come. It is the beginning of the coming Chastisement of God upon the whole world, but most particularly Europe. According to their visions, Europe will fall, at the hands of a Muslim-Marxist alliance. We are told that anarchy will eventually erupt in France and England. Italy will be overrun by these riots, and in the end, the pope will be forced to flee Rome, while a communist flag rises over the Vatican. Where does the Holy Father flee? The seers are very specific about this. He flees to Cologne Germany. Why would a pope go there? Hmmmm. Eventually he will be assassinated in exile, and his successor will crown a new French king. Europe's Christian revival will eventually come, but it will be bathed in blood.
All of the Catholic prophecies concerning the age in which we live focus almost exclusively on Europe. Indeed, it would seem that Europe will become the central theater of operations in God's plan for the coming Marian Age (a brief period of peace lasting a few centuries or less) before the rise of the Antichrist in Jerusalem. When we look at the world today, we see that it is Europe that has experienced the most profound and radical changes over the last century. At the dawn of World War I, the continent was totally Christian, ruled by parliamentary monarchies with very few republics. The influence of the Catholic Church was central to the lives of most Europeans, particularly those in the southern Mediterranean countries. World War I changed all that, putting down Christian monarchies all over the continent, and eventually replacing most of them with republics. American intervention in the "War to End all Wars" changed the course of history, resulting in a defeat for the Lutheran Kaiser Wilhelm II. Germany was transformed from a Protestant Christian monarchy into an American style secular republic and placed under heavy war reparations, which essentially was the equivalent of a massive national debt. The Wiemar Republic was a failure that collapsed eventually, after runaway money printing to pay for war reparations led to a hyperinflation cycle, that brought about it's fall and eventual rise of Adolph Hitler's Nazi regime. By the end of World War II, nearly all Christian European monarchies were extinct, with just a few exceptions, most of whom held a purely ceremonial and figurehead role. By the end of the Cold War (1947 - 1991) Europe was completely and totally secularized, likely the result of socialist influence at all levels of European society. The once great Catholic cathedrals became tourist attractions for Americans on holiday vacation. Small Christian chapels became museums, and many were sold to Muslim immigrants for renovation into mosques. It is nothing short of a European apostasy, unlike anything ever seen in Europe's fifteen-hundred year history! God has not forgotten Europe, which is why Europe will take center stage in the events leading up to the coming Marian Age. Europe will be liberated from secularism and multiculturalism, but according to our seers, this will only come AFTER the Marxists and the Muslims have reduced Paris to rubble.
What of North America? What is to come of Christianity on this continent, and the nations we all belong to? Particularly, what is to come of the United States of America? I think we now have our answer, or at least a pretty good clue. Only one Catholic visionary is known to have given specific instructions for the United States of America to follow, and insight into our future if we don't. In the 1950s, Sister Mary Mildred Neuzil reported visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary who revealed herself as "Our Lady of America." The overall theme of Our Lady's message to Sister Mary was one of national repentance of sexual impurity, with the revelation of the indwelling Holy Trinity in the lives of believers, and the example of the Holy Family (Jesus, Joseph and Mary) for all Americans to emulate. Obedience to these instructions would be marked by enshrining a statue of "Our Lady of America" in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC, and then America would lead the world into peace. Failure to comply with these instructions will only result in misery and suffering for the United States of America. Did America comply? What followed these revelations to Sister Mary was the sexual revolution in the 1960s, followed by a feminist revolution in the 1970s-80s, and the homosexual revolution in the 1990s-present. In other words, our nation did the exact opposite of what Our Lady requested, and the Statue of "Our Lady of America" now stands at the Pope John Paul II Center in Washington DC with no plans to place it into the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at all. For now, it would appear the United States has chosen it's path, and just as Our Lady prophesied, nothing but misery and suffering has befallen this nation.
When we look at what is happening to the United States, the future of Canada, Mexico and Central American nations becomes easier to speculate. The United States is literally falling apart. Saddled with a massive national debt that exceeds our own GDP, and reckless monetizing (money printing) schemes to pay the interest on it, America is on the precipice of a hyperinflation cycle that could possibly approach the catastrophic Wiemar Republic in Germany between WWI and WWII. Our national credit rating has been downgraded, as creditors fired the first warning shot across the bow of the USS America. Nothing short of immediate draconian cuts in federal government spending, producing a balanced budged and eventual surplus, will stop this ship from sailing right into an iceberg. The time to do that is now, but our government "leaders" have made it perfectly clear to the whole world that they have no intention of addressing this problem. The problems are not just financial, they're economic too, as America is getting dangerously close to a double-dip recession with published unemployment rates at over 9% and real unemployment rates closer to 20%. When one really crunches the numbers, and includes all those who have given up looking for a job, actual unemployment in the United States has reached over 25%. Over one in four Americans are no longer working. The problems are not just economic either. They are social. While the United States remains the most religious developed nation in the world, and some 80% of Americans consider themselves Christians, the number of people who actually practice their Christian faith is at an all time low. The United States is starting to experience the same problem as France, as secularism (the lack of religion) takes a hold in society, it opens the gateway for other religions to take root in society. A record number of Americans are turning away from traditional Christianity all together. Initially, it was toward unorganized religions, such as the New Age and Wicca. Now we are seeing a shift, as more and more young Americans are turning to Islam for the answer. Thankfully, these numbers are still small in comparison to Europe, but they do exist, and that should be cause for alarm.
America's woes still continue on after that. Massive illegal immigration over the porous border between the United States and Mexico, has led to further strain on America's entitlement and public service programs. It has also increased crime in already gang ridden inner cities. The insane embrace of multiculturalism by our nation's elite ruling class has led to the failure of immigrants (both legal and illegal) to assimilate into American life. As a result, the Southwest portion of the United States is now primed for a political secession should the federal government weaken or collapse. Other secessionist groups are arising in other places as well. The Southeast portion of the nation is experiencing a revival of Southern Confederate patriotism and new calls for secession. The Lakotah Native American Tribes of the northern frontier states have already declared themselves free and independent of the United States. The Alaska Independence Party (AIP), which advocates formal secession from the United States, is considered a perfectly legitimate political party in that state and frequently receives addresses by the governor of that state. Todd Palin (Sarah Palin's husband) had been a member of the AIP for some time. As near as one-third of the voters in the State of Vermont support political secession from the United States in favor of restoring a Second Vermont Republic. Of course more and more people on the West Coast are eying the idea of secession of Washington and Oregon to create the early stages of the Republic of Cascadia. Yes, it looks like we have seen the future of America, and from what we can tell, the United States will likely survive only in a much smaller form, if it continues to survive at all. The only thing that needs to happen to push everything over the edge is some kind of major catastrophe (likely financial or economic or both). The breakup of the United States will make intervention in Europe nearly impossible during her coming time of need in the not-too-distant future. While Europe is thrown into the depths of anarchy, it is quite possible that Americans will simply be starting over in whole new nations based on cultural divides. Some of us (particularly those of us in Dixie and other rural parts of North America) will likely be trying to put something back together from the lives our Christian ancestors once knew.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I'm afraid Liberal Secularism has managed to gum up yet another Catholic Christian principle. You see, according to Catholicism, immigration is a good thing and a natural right. However, within that context, nation-states have a right to discern how much immigration they can handle, and create necessary regulations to safeguard their sovereignty and culture. This includes allowing time for a large number of immigrants to assimilate before admitting more large numbers. It includes mandating that a certain language be learned and mastered, and that basic knowledge be attained about the culture of the host country. It includes requiring immigrants to swear allegiance to the host country, and forfeit citizenship in a previous country. It includes regulations that prevent enclaving, forcing assimilation into the host country. In other words, nation-states have a right to protect themselves from being overrun and taken over by massive waves of immigration. They should allow immigration generously, but at the same time regulate it in such a way that immigrants fully assimilate and become virtually indistinguishable from native citizens. A good example of this is American immigration policy around the turn of the last century 1900s. Around this time some of my ancestors immigrated from Europe. They were required to learn English and swear allegiance to the USA and forfeit their previous citizenship in Europe. Lastly, if they failed to assimilate properly, they could be deported back to their country of origin, before citizenship was attained. This is the Catholic ideal of a generous immigration policy.
Now in contrast, Europe has abandoned it's Catholic roots and embraced Liberal Protestantism mixed together with Secular Humanism. So instead of common sense immigration policies, European nation-states have adopted ridiculous immigration free-for-all policies, combined with preferential treatment for ethnic minorities based on a politically correct ideology. Most of the immigrants that enter European counties these days are Muslims. They are not required to assimilate. Hence we now have a demographic crisis in Europe where based on the relative birthrates, Muslims threaten to outnumber Christians in Europe within about 50 to 60 years. They will reach a dominate minority status much sooner, probably within 20 years. Only a radical change in immigration policy, coupled with a rapid return to European Christendom, can save Europe from becoming an Islamic caliphate before the middle of the century. The frequent minority riots in France and England are symptomatic of this problem. Of course, from a historical perspective, Marxists have always sought to exploit the plight of minorities to effect Socialist/Communist takeovers. We can expect this to happen in Europe very soon, in what can only be described as a Marxist-Muslim Revolution.
Catholic prophecy forecasts this as well. There are four European nations that are central to these prophecies: England, France, Germany and Italy. Three of these nations (England, France and Italy) are forecast to fall into complete anarchy. The Vatican in Rome will be overrun and the pope will be forced to flee to Germany. Germany will be the battleground state, according the the prophecies. Great battles will ensue there. The nature of these battles are not specified. We do not know if they will be strategic or riotous. What we do know is that in the course of these battles the pope will be assassinated, a new pope will be elected in exile and a man of the French royal family will be coronated as the king of the new Holy Roman Empire. From this European Christendom will be restored. The Marxists will be put down and Muslims will either convert or leave the continent. Islam itself will begin to implode as a worldwide religion, loosing adherents to Christianity over the course of just a few decades.
This however, is a chain of events we have yet to see. Right now, all we are seeing is the beginning of trouble in France and England. Like France, England will likely put down these riots but they will soon return, with much greater intensity, until eventually they overcome the governments of these nations. Italy will also fall into turmoil at around the same time this happens.
As for the United States of America, all we know from Catholic prophecy is a great big question mark. The only prophecies that give us a clue are those from "Our Lady of America" wherein Americans are urged to repent of their sexual immorality and return to purity in heart and body, or else face certain misery. That "misery" is not defined, but it is clear from these prophecies that God "wants" America to survive and "desires" our repentance to make this happen. The approved apparition site of "Our Lady of Good Help" in Champion Wisconsin, outside of Green Bay, also has a message for Americans. In the mists of complete disaster, we can only be saved by turning to Our Lady and seeking refuge under her mantle. The one and only command Our Lady of Good Help gave was to pray for the conversion of the sinners in this land and teach them the Catholic faith.
As for England, there has been a resurgence of devotion to "Our Lady of Walsingham" and we know from Catholic prophecy that all of these things concerning the coming Chastisement of God will begin to occur when the power of England weakens. This began politically around the time of World War II, and religiously immediately after that. The Church of England is no longer a moral force on the island, and the Anglican Communion is crumbling worldwide. With the emergence of widespread riots, we are beginning to see civil authority erode in England as well. All of this is a sign of the beginning of the end for our present era. However, Catholic prophecy also tells us that England will emerge from the coming anarchy as a totally Catholic nation, stronger than ever before. This will happen at around the same time France emerges from anarchy. There is an active campaign to plant the seeds of revival within the British Isles going on right now. We are certainly at the beginning of some very remarkable times. 'The Catholic Knight' sets no dates or time tables, but I do think it's reasonable to assume these things will likely take place within the next 30 years. That's just private speculation on my part, but I do think it's well grounded.

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: It would appear that World War III is on the horizon, and the principle players will be Iran in Israel, not the United States and Russia as has been the conventional wisdom for the last half century. While the two superpowers will likely play a supportive role, Russia with Iran and the United States with Israel, so it would seem this will be a war of surrogates and the people of the Middle East will be made to suffer.
What we have here are two extremist ideologies set to clash in the not-too-distant future. The first ideology is Zionism and it is the primary cause of this conflict. In the early 20th century, European and American powers grew friendly to the idea of "recreating" the Biblical Holy Land inhabited by Jews. The unChristian notion of Anti-Semitism (what Pope Pius XI referred to as the "superstition of race") was growing throughout the West during that time, and so support for "resettlement" of Jews in Palestine seemed like a logical solution to many. For the most part Jews and Arabs got along well initially. However in 1948, with the establishment of "Israel" as a sovereign Jewish state, the Muslim Arab world erupted with rage. Multiple Arab-Israeli wars followed, with countless acts of terrorism thereafter. The State of Israel is in a perpetual state of national defense both internally and externally, with no possibility of peace in sight. Israel, and thus the Zionist agenda, is supported both politically and religiously by the United States.
Politically, the United States sees Israel as an "ally" in the Middle East. It's very presence prevents Arabs from uniting the region into an Islamic superstate, and keeps the old British district lines alive and well. The Israeli peace accords with Jordan and Egypt help to drive a deeper wedge into Islamic unity. This allows the United States to exploit oil reserves in the Arabian peninsula and Europe to exploit similar reserves in Northern Africa (primarily Libya). The Arab dictators and monarchs in North Africa and the Middle East serve as oil puppets for the West, while the real threat of Islamic unity is kept contained to the north in Iran and Syria. When the southern Arab dictators and monarchs fail to comply with European and American interests, their regimes are toppled either with CIA sponsored uprisings or Western invasions. Such was the case with Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has likewise been slated by the CIA for regime change. It is likely we will see other governments toppled in the region as well. All of this is designed by the CIA, and European intelligence agencies, to gain more control over the region via the creation of more Western-style democracies.
The nation of Israel is also supported primarily by the United States in a religious sense and this is through Zionism. Now Zionism is the idea that the Biblical nation of Israel should be "recreated" in the Holy Land (i.e. "Zion"). Zionism was originally a political idea, promoted by certain liberal Jewish rabbis and Protestant Freemasons in the United States and Europe during the last century. Gradually it came to be embraced by American Evangelical Christians. The largest Zionist supporters now exist in the United States, among Evangelical and Conservative Protestant churches. Zionism has two religious components which are considered extremist by traditional Christian and Jewish theologians. The Jewish idea of Zionism is the rebuilding of "Zion" (the State of Israel) with Jewish supremacy over the region, and the reconstruction of the Temple Mount, which will usher in the return of the promised Jewish Messiah who will lead the Jewish people into peace and safety among the nations, and lead the world into worship of the God of Abraham and obedience to the Seven Nohide Laws. Of course this also involves the re-establishment of the animal sacrifices in the rebuilt Jewish Temple and the re-institution of Torah Civil Law. From an Evangelical Christian perspective on Zionism, the support of these goals is only superficial, in that it is believed that once the Jews in Israel are successful in this endeavor, it will usher in the prophesied events of the apocalypse and the supernatural return of Jesus Christ. As I said, both views are considered extremist and heretical in traditional Christian and Jewish theology. However, these extremist heretical views are very popular and they are doing their part to drive events in the Middle East. Every time the nation of Israel builds a new illegal Jewish settlement on Palestinian territory (i.e. "theft"), and American Evangelicals blindly support it, we can see both Jewish and Evangelical Zionism on display.

Shortly after the establishment of the Nation of Israel in 1948 the Arab Muslim world reacted viscerally with an extremist interpretation of the Koran not used in a thousand years. This barbaric interpretation, which has been dubbed by the West as "Islamist" is best represented in the radical views of the mullahs who run the Islamic Republic of Iran. Shortly after their coming to power in 1979, the United States sought to contain the Iranian radicals by propping up a Secular Iraqi thug named Saddam Hussein. He did America's bidding for a decade by making war against Iran, while the United States supplied him with the weapons he needed to do it. Later, Hussein discovered the United States was also supplying weapons to Iran (the "Iran-Contra Scandal"), in an attempt to keep the two powers contained in perpetual warfare. So Hussein changed his mind, made peace with Iran, and immediately turned around to attack America's interest in the oil puppet state of Kuwait. In response, President George H. Bush ("papa-Bush") ordered the invasion of Iraq and the liberation of Kuwait in what has come to be called the Gulf War. A decade later, his son President George W. Bush ordered the job complete with total regime change in what is now called the Iraq War. These events had the effect of galvanizing Islamist powers in their resolve to overturn Western influence in the region, and have caused many oil puppet regimes to question their relationship with the United States and Europe. In 2006-2007 the oil puppet states went along with all the members of OPEC and decided to reduce the production of oil. Gasoline prices surged around the world, and the United States economy, artificially inflated by the government-created real estate bubble, found itself in a very vulnerable position. American homeowners, overstretched by rising mortgage payments and high gasoline prices, began defaulting on their home loans, This caused the housing real estate bubble to collapse in 2008 during the middle of a U.S. presidential election. Of course, this enraged the Bush administration, and so according to diplomatic cables released on Wikileaks, G.W. Bush ordered the CIA to begin work on toppling the regimes of the Arab powers responsible for this. The CIA, along with European intelligence agencies, infiltrated Arab universities and education centers to provoke and encourage riots and demonstrations calling for regime change. Again, according to Wikileaks, the Obama administration continued the plan started by G.W. Bush, and was aware the riot-revolutions would begin in January of 2011. Barack Obama did nothing to stop it, and indeed expressed his support for it at every turn. His latest action, using American forces to bomb Libya, began when Gaddafi attacked the rioting demonstraters instead of resigning like Mubarack did in Egypt. This demonstrated beyond the shadow of a doubt that Barack Obama and G.W. Bush are on the same page in this. The objective here is for the the Muslim people of the Arab world to overturn their regimes (which have displeased the United States and Europe) and install new regimes that will hopefully be more friendly to American and European interests. The United States government, and European powers, believe they can control the chain of events now unfolding to produce a desirable result. There is only one problem with this plan. The ideology that fueled the Iranian Islamic revolution in 1979 has been unleashed throughout the Middle East and many of the people the CIA have been working with are now turning to extremist organizations (Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda) instead. The supreme rebel leader in Libya has just admitted that he fought alongside the Taliban during the American incursion into Afghanistan and that most of his rebel fighters are connected to Al-Qaeda. These are the people we are helping with the NATO bombing of Libya!?! What we have here is a tremendous miscalculation on the part of American and European intelligence which has resulted in us helping our sworn enemies overthrow the dictators and monarch we originally propped up in the Arab world. As bad as these tyrants are, at least they owed a debt to the West for their power. Now that we're trying to topple them from within, they owe us nothing. The end result is, the Islamist genie is now out of the lamp and our CIA sponsored revolution is being hijacked by Islamic radicals.
As President Barack Obama attempts to explain to the American public tonight why he decided to use American military forces to help radical Islamists overthrow a cruel dictator, let us keep in mind that he is only continuing a strategy employed by both Republican and Democrat administrations over the last two decades. It is a strategy of intervention that has backfired on us at every turn. This sort of thing might work well in Latin America or even Southeast Asia, but it doesn't work well in the Arab world. The problem with the Arab world is that a radical ideology has been unleashed that infects the minds and hearts of millions of Arabs. It's an ideology over a thousand years old, resurrected to deal with the emergence of Zionism, and it is a cruel and barbaric mindset that is SURE TO SUCCEED so long as the West remains hostile to it's own Christian heritage. The last time this radical ideology was employed by the Arab world it manifested in centuries of jihad against the Christians that once owned the region. These jihads carried on into Europe where the were met by a force of retaliation they never encountered before - CRUSADES! The crusaders defeated the jihadists at their own game, and pushed them back as far as the Holy Land, even occupying Palestine for some time, before finally retreating back to Europe. The Islamic threat was effectively contained for a time - about 1,000 years. The bloody and barbaric jihadism would not be known again until the 20th century, when the West abandoned it's Christian heritage and Zionists became entrenched in the Middle East.
So what is likely to come now? It would appear the Islamist zealots running Iran have seen the end game on the horizon. They are interpreting the CIA sponsored uprisings in the oil puppet states as a "sign" that their time has come. Their prophesied "12th Imam" or "Al-Mahdi" is seen as making his appearance sometime in the near future. While mainly a Shiite belief at this time, it would appear the Iranian government is using current events to convince Sunni Muslims of it as well. I suspect they will have marginal success. Regardless of that, the unification of the Muslim world is coming, in some form or another, and that will result in greater hostility toward Israel and the United States. It certainly doesn't bode well for Europe either.
Our own Catholic prophecies tell us of a future time when Muslims and Marxists will take to the streets in Europe together, overthrowing European governments much in the same way Arab governments are being overthrown today. Perhaps this is a little of "what comes around goes around." We did it to them, and soon they will do it to us. (Maybe they'll do it in America and Canada too.) Those of us who study Catholic prophecy also know how this will end up. The Secular republics of Europe will fall (perhaps the North American republics too), and it will be up to the pope to save the day. One pope will fall, and another will rise in his place, crowning a great Christian monarch who will launch another great crusade against the jihadists one last time. Things will go differently this time. Somehow in a way we cannot fully understand in this day and age, the fall of Islam in Europe will result in the fall of Islam in the Arab world too, opening the door to Christian missionary work.
There is a significant difference between the religious prophecies of Catholicism verses those of Evangelicalism, Judaism and Islam. Catholic prophecies require us to do nothing but wait. The only action required of us is prayer and personal holiness. The Evangelical interpretation of Biblical prophecies, coupled with a whole lot of Zionist TRADITIONS, require Evangelicals to give unwavering and blind support to the Nation State of Israel. This support can be moral support, financial support or political support, but it must be support of some kind. Because, according to many Evangelical Zionist traditions, if you don't support the Secular Nation-State of Israel, God may curse you. The Jewish interpretation of prophecy, as understood by most Jews under the influence of Zionism, requires them also to commit unwavering support for the Nation-State of Israel, and the rebuilding of "Zion" which includes Jewish supremacy over the region and the rebuilding of the Temple for animal sacrifice. This is necessary for the Messiah to come, according to their beliefs. The Islamist prophecies are certainly the most extreme, requiring them to believe in militant jihad and the killing of infidels to bring about the apocalypse needed to spur the coming of their Al-Mahdi or 12th Imam. No matter how you look at it, no matter who's prophecies prevail, war is inevitable.
Tonight the President of the United States gave his reasons for the bombing of Libya. My regular readers probably already know that I don't care what they are and I don't think anything he says really matters. He's a puppet himself, who is told what to do by his handlers, just as our last president was told what to do by his handlers. There are bigger powers working behind the scenes here. We know some of their names, others remain in the shadows. The United States no longer controls it's own destiny. It hasn't for some time. Our federal government is nothing more than a tool, and it is being used to enhance the power of those who are already powerful.
I suspect what we are seeing unfold now is the slow decline of the United States and Europe. I believe the CIA sponsored rioting-coups are going to backfire. I believe the Arab world will unite under some form of Islamist caliphate because of it. I believe the State of Israel will inevitably go to war as a result. I believe the United States will be left in an economic quagmire with rising gasoline prices, mortgage defaults, inflation and another market crash. America's days of intervention in the Arab world are numbered. The same goes for Europe. Israel's fate is up for grabs, and the Muslim world is setting itself up for its final destruction. The Islamists are likely going to get what they want for a time, but in the end it will destroy them and their entire religion. Yes, this is how I see things unfolding, and all we can do is pray the rosary for the conversion of Russia. There really is no other option left for a faithful Catholic. Here's some good news in all of this. As of 2012, the Russian Federation will begin teaching religion classes in all of it's public schools. This is not the "conversion" we've been praying for, but it is a positive step in the right direction. Somehow Russia is the linchpin in all of this. So let's keep praying the rosary.
(WND) - Could President Obama's decision to sidestep Congress and strike Libya as part of an international coalition put the U.S. on a military collision course with Israel?
While the prospect of American or Western forces confronting Israeli troops may seem remote, one Middle East policy expert is warning the precedent set by Obama in agreeing to target Libya opens the door to other possible United Nations-backed confrontations, including perhaps one day with Israel.
"Particularly concerning is the prospect that what we might call the Gaddafi Precedent will be used in the not-to-distant future to justify and threaten the use of U.S. military forces against an American ally: Israel," writes Frank Gaffney Jr., president of the Center for Security Policy.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The whole notion seems kind of far fetched to me, but not beyond the realm of possibility. The fact that some are even considering it simply demonstrates how far the United States has fallen down the road to global empire. It's not an empire in a traditional sense but in a geopolitical sense. We are are the World's policeman you see, and it's not because the president of the United States wants to be. It's because he has to be. You see, the dirty little secret is this. The president of the United States does exactly what he is TOLD to do. He is not beholden to the people of America who elected him. No. He has a boss, and it's not us. The only problem is we don't exactly know who that boss is. We can speculate, but we don't know for sure. Yes, G.W. Bush answered to somebody else when he was president, and likewise Barack Obama does the same. Remember that.
If the United States ever finds itself in a confrontation with Israel, it's going to cause an interesting situation here at home. First, the Evangelicals will be in an uproar. I'm not talking about just being angry here. I'm talking about absolute hostility of the worst kind. Opposition to the Whitehouse will take on a religious fervor, and this will put the United States government at odds with a large portion of the American public. The potential for government violence against Evangelicals will be high, especially after some crackpots (not necessarily associated with the Evangelicals) try some terrorist stunts in the name of Zionism.
All that aside, where should Catholics stand on this. Having learned my lesson from the Iraq War in 2003, I have come to agree with the pope. All military intervention is generally a bad idea except in clear cases of self defense. So that being said, the Iraq War was a bad idea. The Libyan NATO bombing currently going on is a bad idea. Likewise, any confrontation with Israel is a bad idea as well.
It's bad enough European and American intelligence agencies are intimately involved with the popular uprisings in the Arab world, but to back these uprisings with military force from the West only proves that the West was behind these uprisings in the first place.
As a Catholic and an American I can only advise my nation to pull out of the Arab world completely. Send humanitarian aid to Christians in the region, and otherwise stay out of that hornet's nest. In my opinion, that is the Catholic position. Don't take sides, and help the persecuted Christian minority. Sadly, I seriously doubt anyone in Washington D.C. is going to listen to a practicing Catholic when it comes to foreign policy.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Hindsight being 20/20, it would appear that as we've had time to reflect on the events to 2011 thus far, patterns are emerging, and the truth is beginning to come out. Our suspicions are being confirmed.
Western Liberals, particularly in the United States, have for the past three years (at least) been working behind the scenes to create these riotous revolutions in North Africa and the Middle East. Now when I say "Liberals" I'm including Neoconservatives in the United States as well. I'm talking about everyone from the far Left (George Soros and company) to the libertarian centrist (George Bush and friends). I am not talking about the truly right wing (paleoconservative) groups, which have been disenfranchised in the United States and Europe for decades.
Information emerging from Wikileaks is starting to confirm many of the suspicions we had, but were hesitant to voice, while the riots were beginning to unfold weeks ago. What we have here is an elaborate strategy that has been executed with precision to elicit a certain response in the Arab world. The manipulation began under the George W. Bush administration and is now continuing under the administration of Barack Obama. While the United States seems to be the principle agent, European powers are likewise in collaboration. This helps to explain the United States' seeming "standoffish" posture while the riot-revolutions unfold. The United States has been intimately involved, but this has been behind the scenes and under the table. Moving in too fast in a public way would tip the world off as to what is really going on.
In dealing with the Arab world the United States us using a threefold strategy to get what it wants. Here's how it works...
First, major corporations within the United States (and Europe) pitch business deals to Arab powers, promising money and prestige to any Arab leader that will cooperate.
Next, if the first step should fail, the CIA steps in and attempts to orchestrate a revolution from inside the nation, to change the regime and place people in power who will be more willing to make business deals with American (and European) companies.
Lastly, if the second step should fail, a pretense for war is manufactured resulting in military action from American and NATO powers, again attempting to produce a regime change.
We saw this entire scenario unfold in Iraq and Afghanistan. We've been watching it unfold in Iran for about a decade now, and the plan has met considerable resistance from there with multiple failures in Step Two, and preparation being made for Step Three. In the last two months we have watched Step Two unfold all across the Arab world as more and more evidence continues to surface of deep American involvement. Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Syria; are all experiencing unrest. So far the Saudis, Jordanians, Kuwaitis and Syrians have been able to pacify their people with financial aid to citizens and the promise of reform. Saudi Arabia has been having increasing trouble in the south and is now moving troops into Bahrain for a direct confrontation with protesters. Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak was not so lucky, and became the first leader to be ousted in this recent clandestine Euro-American venture. The fate of Libya's dictator Muammar Gaddafi remains uncertain, though it would appear he is winning at the moment. (You will notice the emerging Euro-American pretense for war starting to develop as the West mulls over a transition to Step Three above.) If Gaddafi prevails we can probably expect the accusation of "war crimes" and "ethnic cleansing" against him to come out of Europe and the United States as they attempt to coax their people to support a military "solution."
Of coarse the logical question for anyone to ask is "WHY?" Why would the Western world do this? What is the purpose? What's the benefit? You might be surprised to learn is not about oil. There is plenty of oil all over the world, especially in North America. No, its about something a little more nuanced called "peak oil." What is "peak oil?" Here's is the definition from Wikipedia...
(Wikipedia) - Peak oil is the point in time when the maximum rate of global petroleum extraction is reached, after which the rate of production enters terminal decline. This concept is based on the observed production rates of individual oil wells, and the combined production rate of a field of related oil wells. The aggregate production rate from an oil field over time usually grows exponentially until the rate peaks and then declines—sometimes rapidly—until the field is depleted. This concept is derived from the Hubbert curve, and has been shown to be applicable to the sum of a nation’s domestic production rate, and is similarly applied to the global rate of petroleum production. Peak oil is often confused with oil depletion; peak oil is the point of maximum production while depletion refers to a period of falling reserves and supply.
Now to translate this into common English here is what it means. There is plenty of oil all over the earth. In fact, there is considerable evidence mounting that oil isn't even a "fossil fuel" and that it's actually produced as a byproduct of geological forces deep inside the earth. NASA believes that there is evidence of oil on other worlds with high volcanic activity, and so if that is the case, it can't be the result of decaying dinosaurs and plant life as previously thought. All that aside nobody is talking about oil depletion here, as it would appear that oil may very well be a renewable source of perpetual energy provided by geological-volcanic activity deep beneath the earth's surface. So if the modern science is right, the earth will never run out of oil. It just takes time for the oil to bubble up high enough in the earth's crust for us to drill down and get it. That being said we run into another problem. It's not about how much oil exists, or will exist in the future. It's about how much oil can be extracted at a time even if every country is using all of its resources to get at it. When you reach the maximum extraction rate possible, and the amount of oil consumption surpasses that, you have reached "peak oil." In other words, it's not about how much refined oil hits the market, but rather it's about how fast it's being consumed by the industrial world. Once you hit "peak oil" fuel prices go up, way up, and that slows down economies and threatens economic growth. Without economic growth a nation's political power and corporate hegemony begins to decline, and that spells bad news for the people in charge.
Ever since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 a new bipolar conflict has emerged between the United States and Russia. That conflict is over peak oil, and both the United States and Russia are trying to gain control of as much oil producing countries as possible to gain the upper hand when peak oil occurs. It's expected to occur sometime within the next few decades, so each superpower it vying for as much control as possible. The nation that has the most control over the most oil production suffers the least in a peak oil world economy. The Soviet Union lists as it's oil "producers" most of the "stan" states (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) along with Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Iran. Within these states exist vital pipelines and oil fields supplying the new Russian Federation. Recently, the United States attempted to cut a deal with the nation of Georgia, promising oil revenue from the West and military protection under NATO. This was considered a political "invasion" into the Russian sphere of influence and resulted in a Russian military counter-invasion of Georgia in 2008. Russia seized a northern province in Georgia that contained the coveted oil pipeline, and accused Georgia of "ethnic cleansing" to justify it. (This was a direct "thumb in the nose" to NATO allies which accused Serbia of the same thing in Kosovo to justify the NATO bombing of this Russian ally in the late 1990s.) It was a little case of what comes around goes around.
Among America's allied oil producers are most South American nations and many nations within the Arab world. However, the United States has run into a problem lately. The Arab world has been getting "uppity" in recent decades, namely since the creation of OPEC and the tight control of oil production which dictates fuel prices. The United States took it's currency off the gold standard in 1971 and indirectly placed it on the "oil standard" in that oil is now traded in U.S. dollars. Thus as a result, when the price of oil goes up the dollar is weaker, and when the price of oil goes down the dollar is stronger.
After the economic collapse of the United States and Europe in late 2008, the western economies were propped up artificially with various bailout "stimulus packages" created by Western governments. The United States of course led the way with the largest stimulus package and the printing of U.S. dollars to pay for it. With this massive injection of liquidity (money printing) of U.S. dollars into foreign markets, the price of food rapidly increased creating inflation. These increased food prices destabilized various economies that trade in U.S. dollars, particularly the Arab nations. Euro-American involvement in clandestine populace movements sponsored riots and revolutions in these nations. The idea here was to force Arab leaders to start pumping more oil to stabilize the U.S. dollar and give the Western world an upper hand in the emerging peak oil economy. Those leaders that don't comply face more protests, riots and revolutions to come. It's a nasty little game we're playing to maintain our political influence, economic prowess and corporate hegemony. We're doing it to keep the Russians from getting the upper hand and maintain our superpower status both domestically and internationally.
The problem here is this is how we're treating our supposed "allies" in the Arab world. Granted, they haven't been treating us too nicely in recent decades, but nevertheless, we need their support to prevent Russia from gaining a peak oil advantage. Supporting and sponsoring riots and revolutions within the nations of your supposed "allies" is not very conducive to good relations. We're effectively acting more like a bully than a friend. The only way this pays off for the United States and Europe is if it's successful, and regime changes occur all throughout the Arab world, but even then it's risky business, because if those new regimes are taken over by radicals, we could be in a lot of trouble. Furthermore, if these riot-revolutions are not successful, we have just effectively pissed off our "allies" who give us the upper hand in a peak oil economy. On thing is for sure, if Gaddafi survives the attempted coupe in his nation of Libya, he'll never sell another drop of oil to Europe again. His oil will go to Russia instead.
The problem with Western Liberals (both Leftist Socialists and Centrist Libertarians) is that they both believe their economic models will work just fine in the Arab world since they have proved to work so swimmingly well in the Western world. (Well, sort of.) So the Centrist Libertarians (otherwise known as the Neoconservatives of George W. Bush and company) have pushed to recreate the Arab world in the Western world's image, assuming that this will result in greater oil trading partners over time. While the Leftist Socialists (George Soros and company) also believe their models will work well in the Arab world and so they likewise work with the Centrist Libertarians to accomplish the same goal of regime change. In the end however, their final objectives are considerably different. The Centrist Libertarians (Neoconservatives) would like to create a world where the United States and Europe have the upper hand in a peak oil economy, while the Leftist Socialists envision a new order in which there is an "open society" whereby socialist nations trade oil on equal footing. Both groups are terribly mistaken.
The Arab world isn't going to fall for the Neoconservative or Socialist vision. The Arab world has it's own vision and that is Shariah law. Now there are various degrees of this vision, and a lot of it depends on what part of the Arab world we're talking about, but the basic premise of the vision is shared throughout. They envision Islamic Sharia, under Arab political prowess, with their own economic hegemony. The United States and Russia can just be dammed as far as their concerned. So long as their leaders continue to cooperate with both superpowers they will be vulnerable to uprisings. Right now the Islamic religious leaders in the Arab world are using the subversion of the CIA to their advantage. They know that once their leaders are overthrown there will be a period of vulnerability which they can use to seize power. It's happened before (Iran in 1979), and it will likely happen again. Both the United States and Russia are playing with fire here, but the United States is more deeply entangled, at least as far as we can tell for now. It is likely the whole thing will blow up in our faces in the not-too-distant future.
Those of us familiar with Catholic prophecy concerning the Chastisement of God (which we are now in and will likely soon conclude) will result in the fall of Europe to Muslim and Marxist powers in an upheaval of anarchy. This may very well be payback for Euro-American subversion in the Arab world. We also know that Russia is involved in this somehow, and it would appear the United States is strangely silent, as if we are unable to do anything. We know this results in the fall of the Vatican in Rome, the assassination of our pope, and the rise of a new pope in exile who will crown a new French king that will eventually reestablish the Holy Roman Empire. We also know that nothing short of a direct intervention from God, a disaster of epic proportions and unrivaled in all of recorded history, will be the decisive blow to the powers of evil in this age. Before that happens however, the Church in Europe will be decimated, and European Christians will face the threshold of extinction. Exactly when and how this will all unfold is not known to us at this time, but with each passing month the emerging picture becomes a little more clear.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: We are living in a very historic time. We have been warned, and many people believe we are already in the Chastisement of God prophetically foretold by Catholic saints and mystics in previous centuries. If indeed we are already in this Chastisement, it likely began in 1938 with the beginning of World War II and could last until 2038. The children of Fatima warned us that Our Lady foretold if the people did not repent, a greater war than World War I would follow, under the reign of Pope Pius XI, after a strange light in the night sky over Europe. On January 25th 1938, during the reign of Pope Pius XI, a solar storm produced an Aurora Borealis that was seen all over Europe and North America -- as far south as California in the United States. These lights were seen by Hitler himself and he took it as a "sign" to begin his war plans. On February 4th 1938, less than two weeks after the aurora was seen by the world, Hitler promoted himself to military chief in Germany. A month later he marched his army into Austria. This was one of the early aggressions that started World War II. At that point the Fatima prophecies cease to be conditional.
Did the Chastisement of God, foretold by our Catholic saints and mystics, begin in 1938? Is this the 75 to 100 year war of Satan against Christ's Church foretold by Pope Leo XIII in 1884, exactly 33 years before the Fatima apparitions? If indeed 1938 was the starting point, than the end point would be anywhere between 2013 and 2038. It is the last portion of this Chastisement (particularly the last four and a half years) which is prophesied to be the most bloody and the most terrifying. If the prophecies are accurate, this period will conclude with a cleansing of the Church, the fall of a good pope, the rise of a great pope in his place, and the coronation of a great Christian monarch in Europe that will mark the end of multiculturalism and secular republics. France is prophesied to produce this monarch.
As we look at the world around us it appears that many of the events that seemed so impossible in generations past are now becoming more of a plausibility. The three secrets of Fatima underscored a theme of apostasy for Europe. That has already occurred, as Europeans turned away from Christianity in record numbers after World War II. The whole continent is now "post-Christian." As a result, Europe is now falling to Islam in a cultural sense. Europe had already been plagued by Marxists for the last century. A Muslim-Marxist nexus seems inevitable now. The riotous events and civil wars now unfolding in the Islamic nations of North Africa and the Middle East mark the beginning of a new popular Islamic era that is sure to become increasingly unfriendly to the Western world. The multiculturalism in France, and other European nations, combined with the lack of Christian faith that swept the continent since World War II, is spawning a new wave of conservative nationalism, forcing European leaders in France, Germany and Britain to admit that multiculturalism is a complete failure. While we must say that recognition of the problem is a step in the right direction, we must also acknowledge that it's too little too late, and the events unfolding have reached the irreversible state. All of Europe will soon be plunged into civil war, likely to occur anytime within the next two decades, and the outcome will change the course of world history.
As for North America, particularly the United States, Canada and Mexico, there is only one defense. The only thing standing between us an a fate similar to Europe is a healthy and robust Christianity. Our governments need to stop attacking the values of our Christian faith, and our people need to turn back to Christianity in large numbers. This is the U.S. Catholic Church's grand opportunity to seize the moment and reclaim the majority of America's secular population for Rome. Sadly we don't see much effort in this regard coming from the general Roman Rite. Hopefully, with the grace of God, the emerging Anglican ordinariates in North America will do their part to pick up the slack. If they don't, or if the general Roman Rite doesn't awaken from it's long slumber, the United States and Canada may soon be facing a similar fate as Europe.
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: A reader recently emailed an idea to me that I just had to share with the rest of my readers. Now this is sure to be a controversial concept, especially to readers of this blog, but before giving in to a visceral gut reaction, read the whole article and hear me out.
We are all familiar with the Leftist fear of Muslims and Jews. We know Leftist Liberals in the West will not dare attack Muslims or Orthodox Jews for their views on abortion, gay-marriage and religious rights. We know Leftists fear that Jews will sue them and Muslims will (well let's just say they might not take kindly to such attacks on their religion). So Leftists instead pick on Christians, particularly Catholics, because they know whatever fight they get from Christians will be muted if they even get a fight at all. This is because for the last forty years Christianity, including the Catholic Church, has taken a defensive posture in society, and Christians are more apt to complain about wrongs committed against them than do anything about it. In fact, the martyrdom tendency within Christian circles almost assures the Left that they can get away with any attack on Christianity with virtually no consequences.
Well, enough is enough. The Catholic Knight is proposing an alliance that will surly be unsettling to any Leftist reading this blog. Western Muslims frequently claim that they are misunderstood and do not share the radical beliefs of Islamists. In fact, the separation of the words "Muslim" and "Islamist" is evidence that there are large Muslim groups who want nothing to do with the extremism popularized on the news. Simultaneously, Orthodox Jews are almost always on the defensive against anti-Semitism. Both groups claim they would gladly work with Christians to overcome harmful stereotypes if only Christians would work with them. That being said, allow me to propose an unexpected alliance that is sure to scare the pee out of every Leftist in the Western world.
The Catholic Knight proposes the "Children Of Abraham Alliance" or COAA.
Now before you get all bend out of shape, don't think for one second The Catholic Knight is proposing some kind of ecumenical syncretistsociety. You should know me better than that. No, the nature of this proposed alliance is 100% secular, having no doctrinal or religious dialogue other than how our respective faith morals should relate to the secular world. The idea is to create a kind of NATO umbrella organization, in which an attack on one is an attack on all, kind of system. When the moral values of one religious system are attacked by the Left, the other two spring into action, defending the moral values each holds dear. Of course, any type of a COAA would have to agree in advance what sort of moral values all three major religions have in common, and it would be these values alone the COAA would act upon.
Here is how it would work. Suppose an offensive city ordinance, like the anti-Catholic resolution in San Francisco for example, is passed by a city council. The ordinance is a direct attack on the Catholic Church's teaching against homosexuality. The local bishop puts a word out to his lawyers, the Catholic League and the COAA. Within hours a press release is issued from the local chief rabbi and the head imam in the city, announcing that such an attack on one Abrahamic religion is an attack on all Abrahamic religions and each groups lawyers will rally to the side of the religion that has been attacked. Then a few days later the protests begin, consisting of Catholics, Muslims and Jews protesting the assault on one which is an assault on all.
The concept behind this is there is strength in numbers but it's more than that. Leftists are cowards at heart. They will not dare attack the religious moral values of Jews and Muslims for fear of legal blow back and enraged public demonstrations. Catholics on the other hand, have a good record on defending the rights of others, but a very poor record on defending our own rights. The creation of the COAA would give Catholics the opportunity to do what we do best, which is defend the rights of others in need. Simultaneously, it would also give us some much needed legal and demonstration assistance in defending our own rights. This is not to mention that it would probably scare the hell out of every liberal Leftist from coast to coast. That alone is enough to make it all worth while. I ask you to consider this proposal and think it over carefully before posting your response below.
(AINA) -- For the second time in as many days, Egyptian armed force stormed the 5th century old St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi el-Natroun, 110 kilometers from Cairo. Live ammunition was fired, wounding two monks and six Coptic monastery workers. Several sources confirmed the army's use of RPG ammunition. Four people have been arrested including three monks and a Coptic lawyer who was at the monastery investigating yesterday's army attack. Monk Aksios Ava Bishoy told activist Nader Shoukry of Freecopts the armed forces stormed the main entrance gate to the monastery in the morning using five tanks, armored vehicles and a bulldozer to demolish the fence built by the monastery last month to protect themselves and the monastery from the lawlessness which prevailed in Egypt during the January 25 Uprising.
"When we tried to address them, the army fired live bullets, wounding Father Feltaows in the leg and Father Barnabas in the abdomen," said Monk Ava Bishoy. "Six Coptic workers in the monastery were also injured, some with serious injuries to the chest....
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: History will not smile on Christianity in the modern Western world when it records the genocide that is about to unfold in the Middle East. The greatest failure of Western Christianity, particularly among the Evangelical Protestants in the United States, is a fixation on the Secular nation of Israel, to the neglect of their own Christian brethren in the same region. Few Western Christians in America know that nearly half of Lebanon's population is Christian. The United States government sends untold millions of dollars to Israel, but not a dime to the Christians in Lebanon. Since when has the United States government, or any Western government for that matter, done anything to help Christians in the Middle East and North Africa? What of the people of the United States and Europe? What of the churches? In how many television specials have the so-called "Christian televangelists" championed the plight of our suffering brethren in that part of the world? Sunday after Sunday we are inundated with Christian television chronicling the cause of Secular Israel but not a word about their own suffering brethren over there. For the last forty years the United States could have been working with the indigenous Christians of North Africa and the Middle East, championing their rights and calling for greater religious freedom. No, instead we championed the cause of Zionism and simultaneously propped up North African and Middle Eastern dictators who keep the Arabs in check so we can maintain a steady stream of oil supply.

It would appear the United States of America is trying to strategically position itself for a coming worldwide oil shortage that is going to plunge the entire industrialised world into the greatest economic depression ever. The intent, so it would seem, is to negotiate oil contracts with ALL the Arab nations possible, to deplete their oil supply first, as much as possible, so that when the "peak oil" economy hits, and production can no longer match consumption, and the price of gasoline shoots up to $10/gallon, the United States will be in perfect position to start extracting oil shale at a competitive price to the rest of the world market, thus putting us on course to become the "Saudi Arabia" of the 21st century. Right now, oil shale is too expensive to extract, but in a peak oil economy, the price will finally be competitive. In the process however, we need to have people in the Middle East who are so indebted to us, they will likely negotiate oil contracts with us, or with Europe at the very least. That's where the Shock Doctrine comes in. Certain large corporations in the United States have learned how to profit off disasters. Whether natural or man-made, these disasters bring in big money to these corporations and that helps the American economy. So to appease these big campaign donors, politicians are more than willing to assure that the need for a man-made disaster (war) is always present and ready to be executed at a moment's notice. Their accomplices in the national news media are more than willing to help them by selling a propaganda snow job to the American people. Whether it's the threat of WMD's, "liberating" people from an "evil dictator," or the threat of terrorism; the United States stands ready to jump into action. When it comes to the Middle East, the result will be big money for those companies that help rebuild, and even bigger profits later when oil contracts are negotiated with the new ruling party we helped to install. All of this setting us up for an eventual peak oil economy that will again make big money for American oil corporations.
