Leave of Absence

The Catholic Knight will be taking an extended leave of absence from the blogosphere effective immediately. To my loyal readers I am sorry. To those who despise my work, please know it will remain in the Internet indefinitely.

I want to thank you all for your support, emails, comments and most of all your prayers. Please know that I would not leave you without good reason. I covet only your continued prayers and I ask that you take what I've tried to give you all and build upon it, in whatever capacity the Lord has given you.

As of this date, The Catholic Knight blog registers about one-thousand unique visitors a day. About four-hundred of you are regular readers and frequently return. I am so glad to have reached so many and I feel honoured that you let my words be a part of your lives for so long.

I may be back someday, but I don't know when or how. Some of you know this has been a long time coming. I first announced this intention almost a year ago. The time has come now for me to tend to other business, much of it family related. God bless you all, and thank you for the privilege of letting me write for you.

HOW TO FIGHT THE NEW WORLD ORDER

1. PRAY - Only God can deliver us from our enemies.

7. Buy everything you can from locally owned businesses.  (Avoid "big-box" superstores and large franchise chains.)
8. Invest your money in a local credit union or savings and loan.  (Do not use banks!)
9. Always vote for politicians and laws that uphold SUBSIDIARITY as their guiding principle.
10. Join local (peaceful & non-violent) Christian movements that strive for political independence and secession from larger super-states.
11. Connect with others culturally and try to rebuild the Christian culture of your local ancestors.
12. GET THE WORD OUT and tell others about these twelve steps to fighting the New World Order.

U.S. Government DECLARES WAR on the Catholic Church

The Administration's failure to change course on this matter will, as the attached analysis indicates, precipitate a national conflict between Church and State of enormous proportions and to the detriment of both institutions....

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: These comments were recently made in an official letter from Archbishop Timothy Dolan to President Barack Hussein Obama. They are in regards to the administration's promotion of homosexuality and gay-marriage. The good archbishop is resorting to diplomacy here, in what has become obvious attacks on the religious freedom of faithful Catholics in the United States.

Already a few states (Massachusetts, California and Illinois) have declared war on the Catholic Church, one city in particular (San Francisco) in the most direct way, which the U.S. Supreme Court has sanctioned. Now under the Obama administration, the United States Federal government has declared war on the Catholic Church as well, and by extension, he has declared war on all faithful Catholics in America.

If you are a faithful Catholic, who believes in the teachings of the Church on marriage and family, than the Obama administration, along with the full force of the United States federal government, has declared war on YOU -- personally. According the the United States federal government, you (a faithful Catholic) are a bigot! No different than a racist, and the Church to which you belong is on the same par with the Ku Klux Klan. Your beliefs have been deemed obsolete and prejudiced. As far as this administration is concerned, you have no rights, or at least you should be deprived of them at the earliest opportunity. A few states have recently put a stop to your Church, the Catholic Church, from operating charities according to the 'bigoted' teachings of Rome. In time, the U.S. Federal government will actively work toward shutting down Catholic charities throughout the nation unless they comply with federal regulations against homosexual discrimination. Your children will be made to learn who is really in charge here.

The United States Federal government, along with a few state governments, most notably Massachusetts, California and Illinois, have effectively engaged in an undeclared war against the U.S. Catholic Church. (In the case of the City of San Francisco, the war has actually been declared.) The only thing missing are the bombs and bullets. No, the U.S. Federal government only bombs Catholics (Orthodox) in other countries, like Serbia for example, and limits its warfare against Catholics in America to legal manoeuvring. In this case, the legal battle is over homosexuality.

The United States has a very LONG Anti-Catholic history.
Many anti-Catholic ordinances are already enshrined
in state constitutions called "Blaine Amendments."

It has been pointed out here on this blog, and by numerous other bloggers, that religious freedom and gay marriage cannot coexist. One will always trample over the other, and in this case, the U.S. Federal Government has made its choice. From now on, Washington DC will favour gay marriage over and above religious freedom. Don't expect that policy to change if or when we change the administration. Republicans have a long record of failing to fix problems created by Democratic presidents. We cannot expect the courts to help us on this, not even the U.S. Supreme Court. So until the U.S. Federal government finally collapses under its own colossal weight, an inevitability many are already preparing for, faithful Catholics in America can look forward to fighting a new enemy in Washington DC -- our own government!

Modernist Schism In Austria Continues...

Cardinal Schönborn presides over 'youth mass.'

(Vatican Insider) - It is still causing conflict between Cardinal Christoph Schönborn and dissidents. This wekend, the Archbishop of Vienna spoke out about the risk of a schism in the Austrian Catholic Church.The Episcopate’s leader reinforced his view with regard to the clashes among the clergy, that violation of ecclesiastical celibacy and admission of divorced individuals that have subsequently re-married, back to communion, places dissident priests outside the Church.

The Cardinal warned that those who are promoting the reform manifesto with its slogan “A call to disobedience”, will not succeed in putting the Archdiocese of Vienna on a collision course with the Holy See. “Everything is possible and I am counting on dialogue and cooperation,” the Archbishop said, extending a metaphorical hand but at the same time excluding any possibility of a break with Rome...

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT:  Well, I hate to say it, but where discipline is lax, schism is just around the corner.  I'll give Cardinal Schönborn this much.  He didn't start the problems in Austria.  He is not responsible for their genesis.  They did however, grow under his watch, and he did little (if anything) to correct them.  Spiritually speaking, Austria is in shambles now.  The schism has already occurred.  The only thing that remains now are the formalities.

Catholics Support U.N. Palestinian Bid For Statehood

(Breitbart) - Priests in the Holy Land used their sermons on Sunday to give their blessing to the Palestinians' bid for United Nations membership.

The retired Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Michel Sabbah, the first Palestinian to hold the post since the Crusades, was to preach in the Roman Catholic church in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

A joint statement by Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran priests pledged their "support for the diplomatic efforts being deployed to win international recognition for the State of Palestine... on the June 1967 borders with Jerusalem as our capital."

The priests went further than their bishops, who in a statement this week confined themselves to a call for intensified prayer and diplomatic efforts ahead of the Palestinian membership request, to be sent to the UN Security Council on Friday.

"Palestinians and Israelis should exercise restraint, whatever the outcome of the vote at the United Nations," the bishops said.

"We call upon decision-makers and people of good will to do their utmost to achieve the long-awaited justice, peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians....

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I know this position will be highly unpopular among Americans and Israelis, but The Catholic Knight supports this move, and here are the reasons why.

First, the Palestinians (both Muslim and Christian) have been jerked around by Israel for two decades now. They've been told repeatedly they will get their independence, but for every one step forward, two are taken back. All the while Israelis continue to build illegal 'settlements' (i.e. 'colonies') on land promised to the Palestinians. Look, I am partially Native American. I fully understand what colonization is. This is how Europeans take land away from indigenous people. Every time a new 'settlement' ('colony') is built on disputed occupied territory, Israel renegotiates the terms of the peace process, proposing a smaller territory for Palestine and a larger portion for Israel, saying 'look, we already have people living there, we can't kick them out of their homes.' This is a joke, but not the funny kind, and it reminds me a great deal of what happened to my Cherokee ancestors a century and a half ago. The Palestinian people (both Muslims and Christians) have been living there for centuries. They've gone under various rule. Once they were part of Jordan. Before that they were part of the British Empire. Before that they were part of the Ottoman Empire, and before that the Mamluks and Crusaders. Ethnically they are Arab and Egyptian, culturally they are a mixture of Muslim and Eastern Christian. After the fall of the Roman Empire, they were primarily Christians, until the 14th century. A small minority of Palestinian (non-Israeli) Jews have always lived in the region, numbering about 4% of the population. Many of the Jews from antiquity fled this region after a revolution gone bad in 136 AD. Of those that stayed behind, many converted to Christianity. Only a tiny minority (about 4%) continued to practice Judaism.

Second, the Palestinian people (i.e. people directly descended from those who lived in this area prior to the establishment of the State of Israel), are culturally and politically distinct from the Israeli citizens. Israelis are primarily Jews of European and Russian descent, who immigrated to the region after the horrible events of World War II. They are culturally European and Russian. Their politics reflect this as well. About 80% of Israeli citizens are Jews (European or Russian descent), and a little under 20% are Arabs (Muslim or Christian). In contrast, the Palestinian territories consist of 80% Arabs (Muslims and Christians), 17% Jewish and 3% Other. What we have here are two completely different nations, and they have demonstrated for decades that they cannot live together. We can point fingers and blame all we want, but it doesn't change the fact that so long as Israel rules this occupied region, there will be endless conflict. This era of perpetual violence between Israelis and Palestinians must end.

Third, political secession has always been the most reasonable and practical solution to problems such as these. The United States of America seceded from the British Empire and established itself as an independent Union over issues less than these. Norway peacefully seceded from Sweden over issues far less than these. Political secession of the State of Palestine from the State of Israel makes the most logical and effective path toward peace. Only paranoid empires, filled with greed, will stop a peaceful democratic secession through military aggression. Two examples of this being the British Empire in 1776 and the American Empire in 1861. The question is; will Israel follow the British and American example of ruthless imperialism, or will she behave in a more civilised manner like Sweden?

Fourth, the State of Israel itself was fully recognised by the U.N. on May 11, 1949, the exact same process being requested by the Palestinian people for a Palestinian state.

Fifth, the pope himself has acknowledged that the Palestinian people have a right to their own homeland, just as much as the Israeli people.

Sixth, Catholics and Orthodox around the world are supporting this measure, if for no other reason than divine justice mandates it.

Seventh, the sole reason for overwhelming American support of Israel is the popular Evangelical Christian heresy called 'Dispensation Theology' (or 'Dispensationism') which asserts that God has two covenants running simultaneously -- one for the Christians and another for the Jews. Because of this, Dispensationism asserts that the Old Testament promises made to the genetic descendants of ancient Israel are still in full force. Dispensationism does not recognise those promises as having been fulfilled a thousand-fold in the Church. Dispensationism does not recognise the New Testament teaching that the Church is Israel, and Israel is the Church. Dispensationism does not recognise that the divine promise given to Abraham, ('I will bless those who bless you' Genesis 12:4) extends to all of his descendants (physical and spiritual), which includes not only Jews through Isaac, but also Arabs through Ishmael, and Christians through Jesus Christ. Dispensationism only applies this passage to the Jews. Therefore, many American Evangelicals (and some misguided Catholics) are under the impression that the modern State of Israel represents 'the Jews' in the most literal sense, and therefore we must 'bless' Israel in order to be blessed by God, otherwise according to the passage of Scripture, we shall be cursed by God. This is a gross perversion of the Biblical text. Nowhere in the entire Bible does God command Christians to bless a political secular state, made entirely by UN recognition, and any abuses of power it may commit against Christians and others, for the purpose of artificially creating an ethnically Jewish nation. Dispensationism is heresy! It is almost an exclusively American doctrine, promoted almost exclusively by American Evangelical televangelists. The Catholic Knight CONDEMNS it.

Eighth, I suffer from no illusions. The United States of America has painted itself into a corner. We should have remained neutral in this matter, and politically distanced ourselves from Israel decades ago. That didn't happen. While the presidency of Barack Obama did not help this situation, let us not forget that the road to Palestinian statehood was supported by both President Clinton and President G.W. Bush. We have supported political secession of the Palestinians from Israel, and we have promoted it, under all three presidents. Now our chickens have come home to roost. We can either man up to it, and vote in favour of a Palestinian State, or else we can continue to weasel around, fearing the political backlash of American Evangelicals and Jews. The time has come to put our vote where our mouth is. Either we support a Palestinian state or we don't. Guess what America! IT'S TRUTH TIME.

BREAKING: Pope Beatifies Nun Who Gave Serious Prophecies On Coming Chastisement

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Today, September 14, 2011 the pope beatifies Sister Elena Aiello, a mystic and stigmatic, who reported visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary and prophecies concerning the coming Chastisement of God that will soon be poured out on the whole world. The prophecies she reported are closely related to the Third Secret of Fatima and concern many of the things reported on this blog.

In this act it would appear the pope is making a clear statement that the prophecies of Sister Elena are "worthy of belief" and the timing of this beatification is worthy of note as well.  It is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the fourth anniversary of the effective date for Summorum Pontificum, and the date on which a grand gesture was made on behalf of the Vatican to the SSPX, effectively reinforcing the pope's teaching that Vatican II was merely a "pastoral" council. 

The message of Sister Elena was one of repentance and parallels that of Fatima.  A fairly complete synopsis of her life story can be read here, while a fairly concise record of her prophecies, in relation to the prophecies of similar Church mystics, can be read here.

“In so saying Our Lord God disappeared. Then the Madonna appeared to me. She was dressed in black, with seven swords piercing Her Immaculate Heart. Coming closer, with an expression of profound sorrow, and with tears on her cheeks, she spoke to me, saying: ‘Listen attentively, and reveal to all:  ‘My Heart is sad for so many sufferings in an impending world in ruin. The justice of Our Father is most offended. Men live in their obstinacy of sin. The wrath of God is near. Soon the world will be afflicted with great calamities, bloody revolutions, frightful hurricanes, and the overflowing of streams and the seas’.  ‘Cry out until the priests of God lend their ears to my voice, to advise men that the time is near at hand, and if men do not return to God with prayers and penances, the world will be overturned in a new and more terrible war. Arms most deadly will destroy peoples and nations! The dictators of the earth, specimens infernal, will demolish the churches and desecrate the Holy Eucharist, and will destroy things most dear. THIS TERRIBLE SCOURGE, NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY, WILL LAST SEVENTY HOURS. GODLESS PERSONS WILL BE CRUSHED AND WIPED OUT. MANY WILL BE LOST BECAUSE THEY REMAIN IN THEIR OBSTINACY OF SIN. THEN SHALL BE SEEN THE POWER OF LIGHT OVER THE POWER OF DARKNESS’.  ‘Be not silent, my daughter, because the hours of darkness, of abandonment, are near. ‘I am bending over the world, holding in suspension the justice of God. OTHERWISE THESE THINGS WOULD ALREADY HAVE NOW COME TO PASS. Prayers and penances are necessary because men MUST RETURN TO GOD and to My Immaculate Heart—the Mediatrix of men to God, and thus THE WORLD WILL BE AT LEAST IN PART SAVED’.  ‘Cry out these things to all, like the very echo of my voice. Let this be known to all, because it will help save many souls, and prevent much destruction in the Church and in the world’. - given on April 16, 1954

‘If men do not amend their ways, a terrifying scourge of fire will come down from Heaven upon all the nations of the world, and men will be punished according to the debts contracted with Divine justice. There will be frightful moments for all, because Heaven will be joined with the earth, and all the un-Godly people will be destroyed, SOME NATIONS WILL BE PURIFIED, WHILE OTHERS WILL DISAPPEAR ENTIRELY’.  You are to transmit these warnings to all, in order that the new generation will know that men had been warned in time to turn to God by doing penance, and thus could have avoided these punishments’.  But when will all this come about?’ I asked Our Lady.” ‘My daughter,’ answered the Blessed Mother, ‘the time is not far off. When men least expect it, the course of Divine Justice will be accomplished’. - given on April 8, 1955

Sister Elena Aiello asked Our Blessed Mother: “What will become of Italy? Will Rome be saved?” “The Madonna answered:” ‘In part, by the Pope! The Church will be in travail, but the forces of Hell cannot prevail! You must suffer for the Pope and Christ, and thus Christ will be safe on earth; and the Pope, with his redemptive word, will, in part, save the world.’  “The Madonna then came closer, and with a sad expression, showed me the flames of Hell. She said:” ‘Satan reigns and triumphs on earth! See how the souls are falling into Hell. See how high the flames are, and the souls who fall into them like flakes of snow look like transparent embers! How many sparks! How many cries of hate, and of despair! How much pain!’  ‘See how many priestly souls! Look at the sign of their consecration in their transparent hands! (In the palms of their hands the sign of the cross, in more vivid fire, could clearly be seen!) What torture, my daughter, in my maternal Heart! Great is my sorrow to see that men do not change! The justice of the Father requires reparation — otherwise many will be lost!’   “See how Russia will burn!” Before my eyes there extended an immense field covered with flames and smoke, in which souls were submerged as if in a sea of fire!  “And all this fire,” concluded the Madonna, “is not that which will fall from the hands of men, but will be hurled directly from the Angels (at the time of the great chastisement or “housecleaning” that will come upon the earth). Therefore I ask prayers, penance and sacrifice, so I may act as Mediatrix for my Son in order to save souls.” - given on April 7, 1950

The Madonna speaks: “The hour of the justice of God is close, and will be terrible!”  “Tremendous scourges are impending over the world, and various nations are struck by epidemics, famines, great earthquakes, terrific hurricanes, with overflowing rivers and seas, which bring ruin and death.”  “If the people do not recognize in these scourges (of nature) the warnings of Divine Mercy, and do not return to God with truly Christian living, ANOTHER TERRIBLE WAR WILL COME FROM THE EAST TO THE WEST. RUSSIA WITH HER SECRET ARMIES WILL BATTLE AMERICA; WILL OVERRUN EUROPE.  The river Rhine will be overflowing with corpses and blood. Italy, also, will be harassed by a great revolution, and the Pope will suffer terribly.”  “Spread the devotion to my Immaculate Heart, in order that many souls maybe conquered by my love and that many sinners may return to my Maternal Heart. Do not fear, for I will accompany with my maternal protection my faithful ones, and all those who accept my urgent warnings, and they — especially by the recitations of my Rosary — will be saved.”  “Satan goes furiously through this disordered world, and soon will show all his might. But, because of my Immaculate Heart, the triumph of Light will not delay in its triumph over the power of darkness, and the world, finally, will have tranquility and peace.”  - given on August 22, 1960

Is Vatican II Optional?

The Second Vatican Council

(Rorate Caeli) - The great novelty comes from the Roman side. Le Figaro has learned that the Holy See could, for the first time, admit that these aspects fought by the "Integrists" are not considered as "essential" to the Catholic faith to the point of keeping outside the Church those who do not admit them. And that what has been foundational to the Catholic faith for twenty centuries is the sole [aspect] considered fundamental for communion with the Holy See, and not the interpretation from the last Council to this day.

Great autonomy of action

Another consequence: the Holy See, after it is verified tomorrow that Bishop Fellay and his faithful share the essence of the Catholic faith - which remains a demand and a sine qua non condition for Rome -, would propose to them a juridical solution so that the Fraternity of Saint Pius X is from this point forward considered a Catholic entity and not foreign to the ecclesial body anymore....

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: If the report is accurate, (and we must always question that when it comes to inside Vatican information), than in actuality this would not surprise me. Both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Paul VI specifically said the Second Vatican Council was "pastoral" in nature, and by extension, it "remain[s] on a [more] modest level" than previous Church councils (read more here). Both popes openly stated the Council defined no dogma at all.

So if what we have in Vatican II are purely "pastoral" documents, which should of course be taken seriously, and nothing new was dogmatically defined by Vatican II, than by extension, any group of Catholics who choose to ignore the council, but instead cling to the pre-conciliar teaching of the Church, cannot be held liable for heresy. If they're not heretics, and they subscribe to all the pre-conciliar teachings of the Church, than by definition, they are Catholic, whether they chose to accept Vatican II or not.

I'm sorry but that's just how it has to be. If the Second Vatican Council bishops chose to attach a note of infallibility to any one of the documents produced, than we would have a whole different story. That would change everything. But in fact, they did not do this, and as Pope Paul VI pointed out, that was intentional. So if Vatican II taught nothing new, than technically speaking, Catholics don't have to accept it, or so it would seem. Or they can accept part of it. Or they can accept all of it. It seems almost arbitrary. Sorry, but that's the nature of pastoral teaching when it has no infallibility attached to it. Based on what Pope Paul VI said, echoed by Cardinal Ratzinger, who later became Pope Benedict XVI, it was as if Vatican II was more of a "Super Synod" than an actual "Church Council." As far as I know, no previous Church Council neglected to include an infallible document of some sort.

So what are we to make of Vatican II? I've read the documents and I personally see no problem with any of them, because you see it all depends on the context in which you read them. As Pope Benedict XVI pointed out, it's the difference between the "hermeneutic of continuity" verses the "hermeneutic of rupture." If the Vatican II documents are interpreted within the context and continuity of previous Church teaching, than they make fairly good sense. If however, one were to interject one's own fanciful context, or if one were to jettison all previous Church teaching, so as to interpret the Council in a vacuum, as a stand-alone catechism that is super-dogmatic, than we run into all kinds of problems. This is what Pope Benedict XVI has warned us against, and indeed it is this very "hermeneutic of rupture" that has caused so many problems in recent decades, in effect causing Archbishop Lefebvre (founder of the SSPX) to reject the Council outright. For Lefebvre, and the bishops he illicitly consecrated (including Fellay), the Second Vatican Council was to be judged on the fruit it produced, not necessarily by the intent of the Council fathers. They saw the dogmatic ambiguity of Vatican II documents as an open door to all the filth in the world, and so they challenged these documents on their face value, calling into question their very authority. Unfortunately, it looks like while their solution was extreme, and reckless, the premise of their basic argument may have been sound. If the SSPX takes up this offer, it will send shockwaves through the entire Catholic Church, because it will codify in action what Pope Benedict XVI has been saying all along, in continuity with what Pope Paul VI said. Namely that the Second Vatican Council is just pastoral, and that it cannot be interpreted authoritatively unless it is done so in context with all previous Church teaching, changing absolutely not one iota of it. In other words, if the SSPX accepts this offer, it will codify in action a joint Vatican-SSPX refutation of every Modernist heresy and innovation ever created over the last four decades! I guarantee, this will not go over well in the most liberal dioceses in Europe, and could cause some not-so-minor problems here in North America. It is for this reason I welcome it.

THE REBIRTH OF A NATION

The Southern National Covenant

The undersigned Men and Women of the South to our fellow Southerners and on their behalf. 

Our forefathers’ worst nightmare has now come upon us. They created a free government, limited in its powers and a servant to the people. But today the United States has become an empire, fast decaying into tyranny; and we their children have become strangers and subjects in the land our fathers won. Instead of a free and just social and political order, today we are threatened by a godless national culture and a corrupt, despotic federal government that knows no limits to its power. 

Our political leaders, setting themselves above the law, have forged an unholy alliance with large corporations and the international money cartel. These elites have purchased the law-makers who are sworn to serve the People, enabling them to expropriate our wealth in the greatest act of plunder in human history. Through threat of force, government seizes half of all we make for taxes, yet it is still not enough to satisfy the vaulting greed of our rulers. Thus government spends staggering sums above its revenues, saddling our People with debt so colossal that it cannot be repaid to the fifth generation. To service this debt, the government-banking alliance has stolen our Constitutional and God-ordained right to sound money and has given the power to create money out of nothing to corrupt, private banking interests. Federal law forces us to use only this bank-created money; and because it must be borrowed into existence, our once free people have become enslaved to debt. The burden of confiscatory taxation, combined with runaway federal spending and a currency manipulated to benefit the ruling elites, has brought our country to the brink of bankruptcy and economic collapse, with all the political and social turmoil that must inevitably follow. 

The federal regime has loosed upon us floods of immigrants, strangers to our laws and language embodying cultures and values contrary to those upon which our nation was founded, who are displacing us on the soil our fathers won with their sweat and blood. Fomenting hostility between the races and regions, our rulers have destroyed hope and spread despair. Injustice, tyranny, corruption, and deceit are the hallmarks of their governing. They call good evil and evil good, the recompense for which is divine judgment. Accelerated by dishonesty and corruption at every level of society and swept along by a daily torrent of official lies, America is plunging toward the abyss. We watch transfixed with horror at the destruction of a once free and prosperous country and are forced to acknowledge the American political and economic system is no longer sustainable. It has become a long train of abuses, evidencing a design to reduce us under absolute despotism. Thus it cannot be salvaged or redeemed, only replaced.

We Southerners proclaim our right to be free of these evils our ancestors warned against and shed their blood to prevent. The seeds of our deliverance remain alive within our faith, culture, and historic principles of governance of individual liberty, rule of law, and impartial justice. Southern culture is founded on the enduring and permanent: trust in God, family, tradition, manners, property, community, loyalty, courage, and honour. We know that free and just government cannot derive from laws, regulations, bureaucracies, and ideologies. It springs only from the soil of faith and love, watered by struggle and sacrifice, and the harvest of which is liberty, justice, prosperity, and peace. 

Before all the nations of the earth we affirm that we are a separate and distinct People, with an honourable heritage worthy of the respect of all mankind. Bound together by a shared history, faith, and blood, we have endured hardship and tragedy but have also enjoyed the fruits of Christian civilisation built by God’s grace and the works of our hands. Under heaven, we possess the right to govern ourselves in our own land under our own laws, customs, and religion. 

With more sadness than anger we recognize that the country our forebears bequeathed to us no longer exists. By depending on the central government’s increasingly worthless currency, its loans, subsidies, and payments, its putrescent schools, and its false promises of security, we have forged our own chains. But if we have forged our chains, we can also sever them. 

We are left with no recourse but to look to our own counsel to secure our welfare. We must “abjure the realm,” withdrawing our support from the tyrannical government and corporate institutions created for our enslavement. Then we must work to restore the power of our States, the first bulwark of freedom, self-government, and Southern identity. As our forefathers did, we must establish a new foundation for law and government by all honourable means. 

Therefore, with humble trust in the Sovereign Lord of Nations, and in the name of the Southern Nation and People whom we serve, we the Delegates of the Fourteen Southern States, in Congress assembled September 12, 2009 in Delta, Alabama; make and publish this Covenant, to which we invite all Southerners who yearn for liberty and justice to join us in subscribing. 

By this Covenant we corporately pledge ourselves to the protection of our Southern cultural heritage and to the defence of liberty and justice for the Southern People and States. We bind and oblige ourselves, as we are by God and nature tied, with our lives, fortunes, and sacred honour to stand in defence of our native soil and People, contrary to this perverse and infamous regime now arrayed against the South. We swear that we will be ever ready to use all our best endeavours for her preservation, and that we will not cravenly and shamefully bow the knee to tyrants. By this bond, each of us faithfully promises to assist one another as the need demands. All of which before God we most solemnly vow and promise to adhere to and never to turn from, all the days of our lives. 

In mutual support of one another as Christian Southerners, we covenant together

• To renounce the evils of corrupt government that our forebears warned against, and to resist by all honourable means acts of federal tyranny, as our circumstances permit and as the Lord leads.
• To seek to revive our local economies, working together to promote every man’s prosperity as our own and toward freeing ourselves from the snare the Empire’s worthless money and perpetual debt which are the lifeblood of tyranny, and seeking a return to honest public money in daily use -- gold and silver coin or currency backed by gold and silver.
• To support every measure which restores the sovereignty of our State and local governments, and the sovereignty of the Southern people.
• To resist any Federal statute or Presidential directive that threatens our fundamental freedoms of speech, press, assembly, exercise of religion, and petition for redress, freedom from illegal search and seizure, and the right of due process under law.
• Never to allow ourselves willingly to be disarmed nor submit to the confiscation of our means of lawful self defence; nor comply with any firearms registration scheme, which is the certain precursor to confiscation.

 
We declare before God and men that we earnestly desire to restore a Godly order in our respective States by peaceful means. We seek only that which may turn to the honour of God and the increase of peace and justice in our States and communities. Yet the growing evils of the time may not grant us the choice of peaceful means of redress. In such a pass, when criminal violence may be directed against one of us by the state, our fortunes shall be as their fortunes, their wives or husbands as our wives and husbands, their children as our children, their losses as our losses, and injuries done them as injuries to our own persons; and we shall not rest till they be delivered. 

IN WITNESS WHEREOF to the God of our Fathers, to all Southern People, to all powers, nations, and states, and to all humankind, we affix our names to this Covenant, beseeching the favour of Almighty God on a just cause. May God bless our Covenant and keep us faithful to perform all we have covenanted together to do.

States Rights = The Final Pro-Life Push

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: I am afraid we have reached the end of the road with the Pro-Life cause in America. Come 2013, forty years will have passed since the landmark abomination Supreme Court decision called Roe v. Wade. Since then, approximately forty million pre-born babies have been aborted (murdered) in the United States alone. It is an unimaginable holocaust dwarfing the Holocaust of World War II. In the United States, Blacks and Hispanics have incurred a disproportionate number of abortions per capita, amounting to a type of "voluntary" racial genocide. Since the 1973 decision, the United States has become the single greatest proponent of abortion around the world, second only to communist totalitarian regimes. It is difficult to imagine that God would not answer this abomination. We cannot expect Him to remain silent much longer.

In 2013 we will have reached the fortieth anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and as some of my readers know, the number 40 has special significance in Biblical numerology. Forty is the number of years Israel wandered in the wilderness of Sinai. It is also the number of days Christ wandered in the wilderness of Jordan. Forty years is considered one Biblical generation. It rained forty days and forty nights during the great worldwide flood of Noah's time. Moses remained on the mountain with God for forty days. The Hebrew spies searched out the promised land for forty days. Jonah warned the people of Nineveh they had forty days to repent before God destroyed their city. Yes, the number forty has very special significance in God's economy, and because of this, if America does not repent of its great holocaust of abortion very soon, I fear 2013 will be a particularly bad year for the United States, forty years after the legalisation of wholesale infanticide.

The Pro-Life movement has been caught in a rut for the last three decades, relying entirely on federal politics. This is a huge mistake. It has wasted time and cost millions of precious lives. The Democrat/Republican game is a joke. For every executive order signed by a Pro-Life Republican president, another one undoes it under the next Pro-Abortion Democrat presidency. The Congress does very little to address the problem. Republican congresses almost never do anything to end the holocaust, but they sure have no problem using the issue as a political football during election season. All elected officials would rather punt the issue to the federal courts, which is how they manipulate the voters into voting for them, to make sure the "right people" are in office so as to get the "right judges" appointed and confirmed. Yet in spite of that, nothing ever happens. The federal courts uphold Roe v. Wade as settled law, and the Supreme Court seems completely unwilling to revisit the decision. So we're at a stalemate, and we've been at a stalemate for a very long time. The only problem is, this stalemate works to the advantage of the abortionists. It is to my great displeasure that The Catholic Knight must report what so many Pro-Lifers already know, but are afraid to say. IT'S OVER.

The battle cannot be won on the federal level. We're going to have to completely reorganise and attack this thing on a totally different front. The states are where the real front in this war is, and once again, like so many other times in America's history, it's all going to come down to states rights. We cannot win a sweeping victory in the federal government, so what we're going to have to do is win back the states. Now I understand that any state law and/or constitutional amendment will immediately be struck down by the federal courts, and that's okay, because we need to start thinking long term and factor in the soon-to-come chastisement of God upon the United States of America. Even if the federal courts strike down our state laws and amendments defining a foetus as a "person" from conception, so long as we leave those laws on the books (though currently unenforceable) they will be noted as the "will of the people" by none other than God Almighty Himself. In this scenario, it will be a clear case of a tiny non-elected minority imposing their will on the majority of the people who have indicated through their state laws that they would rather follow the law of God. This non-elected minority would fall under the portion of the Lord's Prayer that says "deliver us from evil." It will become a clear case of the godly oppressed by the ungodly. Thus, when the wrath comes (and it will soon come) it will more likely be focused toward the ungodly oppressors, and less so toward the godly people of the states that have chosen to follow God's law if only they were allowed.

This is the minimal positive effect of signing the "Personhood USA Petition." However, one never knows how God may decide to deliver us. It could turn out, as the video above suggests, that the Supreme Court Justices will revisit the case, and decide with certainty that the human foetus is a "person" protected by the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, thus effectively outlawing abortion in the entire United States of America. I believe that is a long shot, to say the least, but one never knows, and just the mere possibility of this happening (no matter how remote) should be more than enough to cause every Pro-Life person to sign the "Personhood USA Petition." The people of the State of Mississippi have decided to put it up for a public vote. If they can do it, than so can every other state where Pro-Life people will stand up for their faith and the silent unborn.

So I am now going to ask you, my readers, to do this one simple thing. Sign the Personhood USA Petition, and tell others to do the same. This is our last great hope for the Pro-Life cause. 9/11 -- Ten Years Ago

The Writing Is On The Wall

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT:  On August 23, 2011 a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the east coast of the United States.  The city that seemed to endure the most damage was the nation's capitol, Washington DC, and nowhere was this more evident than in two places -- the Washington Monument and the National Cathedral.  The damage to the Washington Monument is significant and the historical landmark has been closed indefinitely.  Engineers still aren't sure how to repair the damage.  What is visible from the outside poorly reflects the significant interior damage.  The Washington Monument is America's national symbol of pride, power and prestige.  Named after America's first president under the Constitution, George Washington, the monument stands 555 feet, or 6660 inches, from its base.  The building project was funded almost entirely by Freemasons and its designer, Robert Mills, was himself a Freemason.  Upon completion in 1884, it stood as the world's tallest building, rivaling the Cathedral in Cologne Germany, until it lost that designation in 1889 with the completion of the Eiffel Tower in Paris France.

The National Cathedral is owned by The Episcopal Church (TEC), and is often designated as "America's Cathedral" for the number of historical religious services that have occurred there over the last century.  Both the National Cathedral and the Washington Monument are adorned with fifty flags, each representing the fifty respective United States of America.  The Monument flies them in a circle around the exterior of the tower, while the Cathedral hangs them internally down the nave of the main chapel.  Next to the Washington Monument, the National Cathedral sustained the most earthquake damage both inside and out.  One of the four main spires that stretch heavenward from the top of the cathedral came crashing down, along with some smaller structures, and significant cracks can be seen in the interior of the building.  The cathedral is the seat of the Presiding Bishopess of the Episcopal Church, Katharine Jefferts Schori.  Congress designated the National Cathedral as the "National House of Prayer."  During World War II, monthly services were held there "on behalf of a united people in a time of emergency."   The building has hosted other major events, both religious and secular, that have drawn the attention of the American people.  The cathedral has hosted the funeral services of many national dignitaries as well.  President Woodrow Wilson is entombed there.

The connection between the National Cathedral and the Washington Monument is through its members, because you see a majority of U.S. Presidents (including George Washington) were Episcopalians, as well as a majority of U.S. Senators and Congressmen during the first century of America's existence, as well as the majority of U.S. Supreme Court Justices.  In fact, The Episcopal Church has contributed more elected and non-elected officers to the United States federal government than any other church or denomination.  If America ever had an official religion, at least on some unofficial level, than it was most certainly The Episcopal Church.   The National Cathedral is the nationwide "headquarters" of The Episcopal Church, as it is the "seat" of authority for the primate archbishopess of The Episcopal Church USA.

The simultaneous damage to these two structures is more than just coincidental.  It could very well be providential.  The Washington Monument is the symbol of our nation's government, while the National Cathedral is the symbol of our government's spirituality.  They have always been interlaced.  The damage to both of them at the same time could very well be a message from beyond by Divinity Himself, warning us of our national sins and our federal government's blasphemy.  It is as if cracks have appeared in the very fabric of America's being.

Thousands of years ago a similar event occurred on the other side of the world.  The Babylonian King Belshazzar was feasting with his royal guests at a banquet when suddenly he witnessed a hand appear out of nowhere and etch something into the plaster of his palace wall.  He eventually called upon the Jewish Prophet Daniel to interpret the script.  This was St. Daniel's interpretation...

And this is the writing that is written: MANE, THECEL, PHARES.  And this is the interpretation of the word. MANE: God hath numbered thy kingdom, and hath finished it.  THECEL: thou art weighed in the balance, and art found wanting.  PHARES: thy kingdom is divided, and is given to the Medes and Persians.

Within hours the Babylonian Empire fell, the king was slain, and the Medes and the Persians became the dominant power in the Middle East.  This is where the saying "the writing is on the wall" comes from.  Was this earthquake damage in Washington DC a similar prophetic event?  Only time will tell.  One thing we do know however is that so far, all attempted repairs of the Monument and Cathedral have run amok.  The crane working on repairs to the National Cathedral collapsed and flipped recently, causing the Cathedral to have to move commemorative 9-11 ceremonies to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  It has been said that the crane collapsed on the very spot where President Barack Obama was supposed to give a speech this Sunday.

I suspect it may have something to do with this commercial.  If you know anything about the two men, you know that they're both running for President of the United States on the GOP side. Perry is the current front runner, while Paul has always polled in the single digits. What has made Paul such an interesting candidate, both in 2008 and now in 2012, is his willingness to speak the truth to the American people, as he sees it, no matter who it hurts, even if it's his own party or the blind patriotism so many of us suffer from. THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: If this comes true I think it only helps the United States in the long run. Provided of course the momentum of this event doesn't cause us to crack up in the short run. If cooler heads prevail in the United States, and we can simultaneously implement our own significant austerity measures, America comes out ahead in the end. If however, our politicians continue with the status quo here in the USA, than panic will eventually set in as Europe implodes, and as a result, I think we could potentially go down with her.

Europe is likely to revert to a multitude of nation-states, barring the arrival of some messianic figure to save her. As for America, we could go either way, and a lot of that is up to how serious we are about getting our federal spending problem under control. Either we will suck it up, tighten our belts, and ride this thing out to better times. Or we will ignore the problems, let the crisis reach these shores, and end up just like Europe -- a fractured continent made up of multiple nation-states. Sadly, I think it may very well happen that way, and if it does, I'll stick with Dixie! I think I may have to move further South though. Hmmm. The Carolina coast sounds real appealing right now. Any of my readers out there know of some nice places to live between Charleston and Wilmington?

Personal musings aside, and getting onto more spiritual matters, I think what we see playing out here are the early stages of the minor Chastisement that is supposed to come upon Europe as the Catholic mystics and seers have foretold for centuries. The Globalist/Capitalist "New World Order" is collapsing right in front of our eyes. Naturally we can only expect the Marxists and Jihadists to take advantage of the situation. It shouldn't be any surprise to us, it's just in their nature. So expect it. That's the other shoe to drop. Don't ask me for "when" because I don't have a crystal ball. All I know is it WILL happen -- eventually. So when it does we can expect things to go from bad to worse. Now I suppose it is possible it may not happen all at once. We could see it spread out over multiple phases, each one getting progressively worse. For those of us who follow Catholic prophecy, the particular uprising we are concerned about is the one that forces the pope into exile from Rome. When that happens, as best as we can interpret the prophecies, things are supposed to get very bad, very quick, immediately thereafter. This will mark the end of our present age, and the dawn of the Age of Mary (a fairly long period of time) which precedes the Last Days before Antichrist. (See my notes on Catholic prophecy for details.) So all the more reason to keep all eyes on the pope, especially this one, for every word that proceeds from his mouth seems to be golden, and his efforts to reform the Church are truly heroic. Watch this man carefully, for if he is ever forced to flee the Vatican for his life, know that his time is very short, and so is the time we have left before the end of this present age.

Black Civil Rights Leader Defends Confederate Flag

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Here is something the national mainstream news media will NEVER tell you. The Confederate Battle Flag -- the Christian Cross of St. Andrew -- is beloved by men and women all across the Old South INCLUDING black men and women!!! The following raw video, likely shot with a cell phone, will explain it all. Here you will hear H.K. Edgerton, former president of the NAACP chapter in Asheville North Carolina, defend the flag against those who banned its use in Lexington Virginia for a holiday honoring the Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.  The celebration is known there as "Lee-Jackson Day." Turn up the volume, he has a thick Southern accent. Play it and replay it, over and over again, until you hear every word he says. This man has a message that MUST be heard, and if you're Catholic, you REALLY NEED to hear it. For the actions of our pope (Pius IX) and the priests, bishops and nuns in the South during that time (1860-1865), bear testimony that everything Mr. Edgerton says here is true...


If you've been told otherwise, you have been lied to! History is written by those who win wars, but in the end, the truth always finds its way out from behind the propaganda. There is an effort afoot in this nation, spearheaded by the NAACP, to crush all remembrance of the Confederate States of America. They have publicly declared they will tear down every Confederate monument and remove every confederate flag. They have publicly declared they will silence every good word that could ever be said about the South during that time period. They have made it absolutely clear that their intent is unending warfare on Southern culture and the good Christian reputation of Southern whites. They have stated their goal of complete cultural genocide. The Confederate Battle Flag and Naval Jack are just at the forefront of this epic. Like any flag during any war, it draws the most fire. You have been told it means nothing but racism, but I'm hear to say ya'll have been intentionally misinformed.

You see, there are those who use the Confederate flag for racist purposes, but since when to knuckleheads like that get to decide what a flag means!?! Those same numskulls use the American flag -- stars and stripes -- in virtually ALL of their ridiculous meetings and rallies. Does that mean the American flag is a racist symbol? Stop and think about it. It's guilt by association. It's as if the KKK and the NAACP were actually working together toward a common goal -- the defamation of all Confederate symbols. I suppose it's true that politics does make strange bedfellows.

I own Confederate flags and Confederate symbols. That does not make me a racist. I fly a certain type of Confederate flag from my porch. That doesn't make me a racist either. I do it to make both a political and cultural statement. I'm not going to defend myself about it, because I don't need to. Anyone who looks at me can tell I'm not a supremacist, and anyone who knows me would laugh at the very suggestion. There are tens of millions of more like me across the Old South, and a good number of them are black. You will notice in the video above several black folks in the crowd sporting Confederate flags, hats and t-shirts. Virtually every time I visit Myrtle Beach I see dozens upon dozens of fine young ladies wearing Confederate flag bikinis and it never fails, two or three of these young ladies are black. It's a cultural and political statement you see. This is who we are. We are the children of our Confederate ancestors, and we believe much of what they did. We remain within the United States, and we haven't risen up again, only for one reason. It is because we fear and tremble at what the federal government might do to us AGAIN if we try. So long as the fed keeps the economy chugging along and doesn't impose itself too much on our states' rights, we are content to endure the constant defamation of our culture and stay. If however, the fed can't do these things, well I guess anything is possible.

“If the Radical Right can succeed in portraying us as preying on children, we will lose,” warned Jennings in a 1995 speech to fellow GLBT activists outlining his strategy. “Their language–‘promoting homosexuality’–is laced with subtle and not-so-subtle innuendo that we are ‘after their kids.’”

Jennings argued that the key to success lay in “framing” the issue in another way, to the advantage of the GLBT cause.

The strategy consists in linking the GLBT cause to “universal values” that everyone in the community has in common, such as “safety.” One then builds on this universal value the idea that “homophobia” represents a “threat” to students’ safety since it creates a “climate where violence, name-calling, health problems, and suicide are common.” From this point, one simply promotes legislation and programs for schools that frames the GLBT agenda in the language of these universal values.

So that's how they got us. It was a very clever move, but it is flawed. To regain control we must reframe the debate (as they did) focusing on the issues of "religious and cultural sensitivities." After all, we all want to live in a free society - right? We don't want people being oppressed or ostracized for their religious beliefs - right? We certainly can't have people feeling "uncomfortable" or "alienated" because of their culture - right? So what this really comes back to is tolerance, specifically tolerance for Christians, Jews and Muslims. Even more specifically, we have to recognize that certain expressions of Christianity, like Catholicism for example, have not now, nor ever, viewed homosexuality positively. Asking a good practicing Catholic to accept homosexuality as "normal" is the equivalent of asking a practicing Hindu to eat beef, or a practicing Muslim to eat pork. It is offensive and demeaning, especially for a child. Thus people of the Catholic persuasion simply MUST be allowed to express their beliefs on the subject, or else it falls under "religious discrimination" and "cultural intolerance." This too is a health and safety issue, because if students feel their religion and culture is not respected, they could become target to bullying, which in turn results in stress, eating disorders, poor sleeping patterns, low self-esteem and ultimately depression and suicide. We certainly can't have that in our schools now can we?

I think if parents, and Christian ministries of various types, would ally together to push this cause through the schools, using similar demands for "public awareness" and "cultural safety training" for public school officials, as well as other similar demands for a "safe environment" for people of faith, I believe it would go a long way toward undoing some of the damage done to schools by the radical homosexual Left, or at least neutralize some of the damage done.

I think a good place to start would be with a short 15 minute video (and perhaps some 30 second commercials) depicting various Christian children with eating disorders, depression and suicidal tendencies; all because they feel rejected by their teachers and peers because of their religious faith. We can start with something a bit more exotic, such as Muslim and Hindu children, then gradually move into Catholic and Evangelical children. Mixing them together, and making no distinction between them, other than it is the DUTY of all educators to understand their various religious and cultural sensitivities, so they may respect them and make the child feel "positive" about them.

This type of strategy is a way of turning Multiculturalism and Political Correctness against itself using concerns about "health and safety" as the driving force. It worked for the sodomites, it should work for us too. Let's give it a try. If you agree, please share this article.

A Southern Catholic Look At Homosexuality

Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2357: Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

The Christian Battle Flag of Missouri

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: The Christian Battle Flag of Missouri was created in 1863 during the Civil War. The first of these flags were made in Federally occupied Missouri and smuggled to Missouri troops behind Confederate lines. The second batch were made in Federally occupied New Orleans and smuggled back into Missouri. These flags were given to General Sterling Price, who issued them as the official flag of the Missouri Brigade. The flag was used for the South during the Civil War, specifically representing soldiers from Federally occupied Missouri, which as a result of the invasion of Union troops, officially voted to secede from the Union on October 31, 1861.

The meaning of this flag is self evident. It is a Christian banner, designed to convey the faith and character of those who fly it. The blue field represents perseverance. The red trim represents courage. The white cross represents purity, and the method through which that purity comes, the cross of Jesus Christ.

This particular flag is a powerful symbol for states rights and against federal tyranny. For Missouri was unlawfully invaded by Union forces in 1861, after having originally voted to stay within the Union. The people of Missouri chose to remain part of the United States, and for their loyalty they were rewarded with invasion, anarchy and war crimes by the army of the very nation they chose to remain with. Only after this incredible injustice did Missouri secede from the Union.

Today, this battle flag serves a similar purpose. It has seen a resurgence in popularity over the last decade. By flying it today, Missouri Christians (and Christians in other parts of America) are making a bold statement against the federal "tyranny of relativism" imposed by Washington DC, and in favor of Christendom (a Christian society), showing that while we may be presently subdued, we are not yet extinct. By flying the Christian Battle Flag of Missouri, Missourians are standing....

• Against the tyranny of federally mandated abortion-on-demand that overrides our state laws against it.
• Against the tyranny of federal courts that tell our children they cannot pray in school, and rob our cities of their historic Christian symbols, and forbid the practice of religion on public grounds.
• Against the tyranny of federal attempts to override our state constitutional ban on gay marriage.
• Against the tyranny of Obamacare, and all federal attempts to socialize medicine in the State of Missouri.
  
• Against the tyranny of heavy federal taxation and reckless money printing that leads to hyperinflation.
• Against the tyranny of a massive federal debt that threatens to crush our children's opportunity for prosperity.
• For our Christian faith, identity, heritage and its influence on this state.
• For human LIFE to be protected in all its stages, from conception to natural death, according to the laws of the state of Missouri.
• For traditional and natural marriage as recognized and protected by the Missouri State Constitution.
• For the God-given right of the people of Missouri to express their collective Christian heritage in city and state symbols, and for their God-given right to worship on public grounds according to their conscience, and for their children to pray in public schools.
• For the God-given right to Subsidiarity, wherein the federal government takes a subsidiary role to the state governments, otherwise known as "states rights" or "federalism," and the people have a right to govern themselves autonomously through local city and county governments without intrusive federal or state regulations.
• For a stable currency, and freedom from crushing federal debt, to secure a future for Missouri children.

Missouri Christians, STAND UP FOR YOUR HERITAGE AND YOUR FAITH! This flag is uniquely Missouri, and thoroughly Christian. There is virtually no other like it. Fly it from your front or back porch. Fly it from your car or truck. Carry it to TEA Parties, Town Halls and other rallies against Federal tyranny. Most of all, spread the word! THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT:  So it begins!  The Modernist schism in the Catholic Church officially begins in Austria.  Dissidents are actually asking for a lot more than what they're letting on.  What they really want is a comprehensive change in the Church from top to bottom, ultimately resulting in a mirror image of what we see in the U.S. Episcopal Church.  As you can see by my last post on the raw statistics of the U.S. Episcopal Church, those changes haven't worked out so well for that organization.  Nevertheless, the liberal Modernist's answer to failure is always the same -- more liberal Modernism!

Let me make a prediction here.  I believe there will likely be a full schism of the Catholic Church in Austria.  This will make much news, and be hailed as being much bigger than it really is.  Other Modernist groups in other nations will likely follow their lead.  They may even try to make some kind of international network linking the groups together.  There is no way to know how large these groups will actually get, however, in the end they will suffer the exact same fate as the U.S. Episcopal Church -- graying congregations, empty pews and eventual parish closures.
