Don't say we bloggers didn't warn you. Granted, this video was simply morbid humor, and those crazy Brits have a thing about that. Sometimes it's funny. However, there is a serious element to it all as well. It's almost a subconscious kind of thing. It speaks of how non-compliant dissidents are thought of. Either you sign on to the 10:10 eco-emission project or you're not worth anything but to be blown up. No pressure. Granted, the 10:10 organization has apologized for this video, and I've reprinted that in it's entirety below...
Statement by Eugenie Harvey, Director of 10:10 UKPersonally, I found the apology to be less than desirable as it seems it centered more on the negative press it brought to their movement, rather than toward the actual people the film dehumanizes. Not everyone agrees with man-made global warming theories, and not everyone agrees with the methods currently being promoted to conserve energy. What about those people? The very people the 10:10 film depicted as being blown up! I dare say, if we dissenters produced a film depicting such violence upon Eco-Faschists, the outcry would be far worse. What would organizations like 10:10 do in response to that? Call for government hearings? Prosecute for a hate crime!?!
Last week, 10:10 made available a short film. Following the initial reaction to the film we removed it from our website and issued an apology on Friday 2 October.
Subsequently there has been negative comment about the film, particularly on blogs, and concern from others working hard to build support for action on climate change. We are very sorry if this has distracted from their efforts.
We are also sorry to our corporate sponsors, delivery partners and board members, who have been implicated in this situation despite having no involvement in the film’s production or release.
We will learn from this mistake. Today I have written to supporters and stakeholders explaining that we will review processes and procedures to make sure it cannot happen again. Responsibility for this process is being taken by the 10:10 board.
The media coverage of the film was not the kind of publicity we wanted for 10:10, nor for the wider movement to reduce carbon emissions.
If people have been in touch with us personally about the film, we will be replying to individual emails over the next few days. Meanwhile our thanks go out to all those who support 10:10 and who work to combat the threat of climate change.

You have to wonder what comes next. While I don't think the Brits have any plans to create spontaneous combustion devices, I do wonder what kind of penalty awaits those who fail to comply with the Eco-Fascist goal of cutting their personal carbon emissions by 10% in the year 2010. Will it be some kind of tax or fine? Will it violate some basic civil right? Or will it simply be to suffer the ostracism of our countrymen who no longer think you're worth a damn anymore? Why not! We obviously know what they think of us now. No pressure.
