How To Prepare For The New Mass

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: For about a year now, classes have been offered to Catholics to help them 'prepare' for the new English translation of the Roman Missal. Very few Catholics have attended these courses. Those few that have should consider themselves blessed. As for the rest of us, there is no need to panic.

The best advice I could possibly give you is to chill out, relax and take it all in. Everything is going to be fine. Just pick up a copy of the missal in your pew, and follow along. Yes, it will take you a few weeks to get used to things, but you will get used to them. Within a few months, you will hardly remember the old translation. Within six months you'll be reciting the responses by memory.

Something beautiful is happening here, and it's something really good! Not only will this new translation elevate the spirit of the liturgy during mass, but it will likewise elevate our vernacular culture. There is an old saying in Latin. Lex orandi, lex credendi. It means "the law of prayer is the law of faith." Our prayers literally effect our faith. How we pray effects how we believe. How we believe effects how we act. How we act effects our whole culture. These days our culture could use all the help it can get, and the improvement to our English liturgy will have some positive impact.

So don't panic. Relax. Everything is going to be okay. Come the first Sunday of Advent (in just eleven days), pick up a new missal in your pew and follow along. Try to think of this as a Christmas gift of sorts. Things were starting to get a little old and stale in the former English translation. Now Rome has renewed it. So Enjoy!

A Winning Team?

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT:  Loyal readers of this blog have heard me rant and rave about the coming social apocalypse facing this nation and the Western world in general.  While I cannot know the days and times of these events, I do stand by these predictions IF people do not change en mass.  Having said that I would like to remind my readers that I do not bow to the altars of political idols.  I do not believe that there is any one politician, or any one political party, that can save the United States from its inevitable implosion.  Only God himself can do that!  And only God himself will do it if we, his children, open our hearts and minds to the full Gospel of his Son Jesus Christ.  This has to happen to all of us, from coast to coast, and if it doesn't, than we are finished.  Like I said, I don't know the day nor the hour, but America's end will come.

In recent months you my readers have heard me muse on my Southern heritage, a heritage I hold dear, and my hope that a new Southern nation (a Christian nation) might present an alternative "plan B" to the United States when the inevitable fall comes about.  I still believe that such an alternative is possible though recent events in Mississippi, demonstrating the fundamental moral failure of voters, has caused me to understand that the restoration of Dixieland will be an uphill battle.  In response, I have called on my readers to huddle closer to orthodox Catholic parishes and monasteries as we attempt to enclave to create authentic Catholic communities to weather the storm that is approaching.  All of these suggestions I stand by, and encourage my readers to take seriously.

That being said, there is the short term to think of.  In less than one year now, the United States of America will have a presidential election.  It could potentially become the biggest election in recent history.  We have to take this seriously, and we have to think about what this nation needs, and what candidates are viable.  Yes, my readers, I too am an idealist, and I do wish for a better selection of candidates (and parties for that matter).  However, like all of you, I am forced to deal with what is available.

That being said, I would like to call your attention not to one presidential candidate, but two.  I am talking about Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.  While neither candidate alone may have what it takes to beat the Chicago political machine that is Barack Obama, the two of them together have a synergistic effect that is nothing short of political dynamite!   Herman Cain would make a good political front man, contending with Barack Obama for the presidency, while Newt Gingrich would very much be the brains behind the operation.  He's very smart, but not a good front man.  "Cain/Gingrich" would be a winning ticket.    This is not an endorsement on my part.  It's just an observation.  If you want Obama/Biden out of office in 2012, than Cain/Gingrich is just the combination you need to do it.  That's all I'm going to say about this.  It's up to you, the voters, to decide now.

How to Survive the Coming Dark Ages

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: In light of recent failures of the Pro-Life movement in the United States, as well as the cultural decline of Western Civilisation, coupled with the inevitable complete economic collapse that will soon follow. It has become painfully apparent to me that the collapse of the United States may be far worse than I previously imagined.

Not long ago I believed when the federal government collapses, under its own colossal weight and crushing national debt, state governments would pick up the banner where the federal government had fallen.  I even believed it possible that new nations would rise from alliances between these state governments, the most enthusiastic of them being Dixieland, which I believed might be rebuilt on the common moral values between various conservative Christian denominations.  After the recent 'Personhood' vote in Mississippi, however, I am seriously beginning to doubt that possibility.  It would seem that Southern Christians are not as unified on their moral values as I previously thought.  In what is supposed to be one of the most conservative states in the Old South, sixty percent of Mississippi voters opted to jettison the 'Personhood' amendment for fear that it might intrude on their sacred cows of in vitro fertilisation and morning-after pills.  Choosing instead to flush the amendment, Mississippian voters (mostly conservative) stated they would rather continue the wholesale slaughter of pre-born human life than infringe upon their modern conveniences.  This is nothing short of a catastrophic loss of moral decency and Christian virtue.  It is a sign that the worst has happened.  Even the once solid Christian South of the United States, the buckle of the Bible Belt, has completely lost its way.  If the 'Personhood' amendment cannot pass in Mississippi, than it cannot pass anywhere in the United States.

So what comes next?  Do we try to re-evangelise the South?

The answer is no.  There isn't enough time.  While evangelism should always be the personal goal of any Christian, we can no longer count on this as an effective method for saving our civilisation.  The early Christians evangelised more than any others in history, and yet the Roman Empire still fell.  St. Augustine of Hippo tells us that the reason for Rome's fall was that it was built on a flawed Pagan morality -- moral relativism -- and this eroded the very foundations of the empire.  It could not be saved, no matter how many of its citizens were converted to the Christian faith.  The Empire's foundation was built on sand.  The only thing it could do was collapse.  So likewise, we are discovering that the morality our modern Secular civilisation is built on is identical -- moral relativism -- and so likewise the fate of the once great United States shall be similar.

The only question that remains is 'how long do we have left?'  Rome was not built in a day, nor did it fall in a day.  It actually took about 100 years for the Roman Empire to completely collapse.  In contrast, the Soviet Union was built almost overnight, and likewise it fell almost overnight.  I suspect the fall of the United States will be somewhere in between.  I think our demise began in September of 2008 with the economic collapse.  Everything since then has been a downward spiral; economically, politically and socially.  If the United States accepts that it is finished as a superpower, brings home all our troops from around the world, cuts out all of our national deficit, and begins restructuring our economy to encourage the growth of small business and manufacturing, it is possible the United States may survive another fifty years, leading us into a gentle decline and breakup into multiple nation-states.  However, if none of these things happen (and they won't), than I believe we can expect a much more catastrophic economic collapse in the nearer future, resulting in a full scale political implosion on the national level.  This of course will initially result in martial law and local occupation by federal troops, but that will be short lived, as there is no way this federal government can micromanage an entire continent with troops it cannot even pay or feed.  Federal loyalty will soon give way to local loyalties, and that will be the end of it.  Within a very short time after that (perhaps just a few years) there will be nothing left of the United States to speak of, other than some tattered flags (that nobody makes anymore) fluttering in the wind.  State governments may try to stand in the gap, but they will soon be confronted with the realisation that they have no taxes to raise and thus no ability to do anything.  Thus they will collapse shortly thereafter.  Government will be reduced rather quickly to local city municipalities, which will be forced to charge outrageous taxes to assure their citizens of safety.  Local police forces will become the backbone of citizen armies.  Honourable ex-military veterans will become the knights of a new Dark Age.

What we cannot know for sure is exactly how our current civilisation will collapse, but what we can know is how it will be rebuilt, for we have an example in history.  It will be rebuilt around the only legal structure that will remain standing after the fall of the states and the federal government.  That legal system was the only system left standing after the fall of the Roman Empire.  It is the Catholic Church's 'Code of Canon Law.'

So what can we do now to prepare and expedite this process when the day finally comes?  While stocking up on food, water and necessities is always a good idea, that will not rebuild our civilisation or make the world a better place when the stuff finally hits the fan.  What will save our world for us and our children is networking, and by that I mean intensive religious networking between those who share the EXACT SAME moral values.  Similar values are not good enough.  These values must be IDENTICAL, or the networked community will eventually fall apart.

The good news for faithful Catholics is this.  When the stuff finally does hit the fan, and our civilisation crumbles, there will no longer be room for happy-clappy neo-liberal Modernism in the Catholic Church.  Those priests that cannot wake up and smell reality will soon find themselves overwhelmed and unable to function.  The only priests that will be able to cope are those with enough discipline (doctrinally and liturgically) to rebuild a civilisation!  (Perhaps this is why we Traditionalists are being made to wander in the wilderness of Modernism now, to prepare us for the rebuilding that lies ahead.)  When faithful traditional Catholics are finally released from their restraints, and allowed to rebuild without boundaries, the reformation of the Church will come quickly.

In the mean time, this is what we can (and probably should) do.  Think of this as both a short-term and long-term goal.  We need to physically move closer together.  Right now we are too spread out.  We need to find relatively strong and growing Catholic parishes.  These parishes are the ones we must try to physically move closer to.  The closer you physically are to your parish chapel, the better off you will be when the stuff hits the fan.  Try to get within reasonable walking distance of your local parish chapel, but make sure it's a growing and thriving community first, with reasonably sound orthodoxy.  The same goes for monasteries and convents.  If you are anywhere within a few hours drive of one, and it is physically possible to do so economically and practically, you should move to within a few minutes drive of these locations.  However, the same rule must apply.  These monasteries and convents must be growing and thriving to be considered good candidates.

Physical walking distance is an absolute necessity, because in a complete and total civilisation collapse, gasoline may be too expensive to be practical.  People will quickly be reduced to moped-scooters, bicycles, and good old fashioned horse power (I'm talking about the kind you feed).  Thus average daily commutes will be reduced from 20 miles to 2 miles maximum.   Catholics in rural areas will be highly dependent on monasteries and convents.  If you live in a rural area, and there is no Catholic parish nearby, and you happen to have some land (or know another Catholic who does), consider donating it to a Traditional Catholic or Anglo-ordinariate Catholic community with a simple deal.  "You supply us with the priest, and we will supply you with all the land you need, and a group of families to help."  Thus, if you can't get close to a parish or monastery, than maybe you can get a parish or monastery close to you!

Parish and monasteries with nearby dense Catholic communities will be a necessity, because Canon Law may be the only thing left to govern us.  If we are too spread apart, we cannot network, nor can we practically be governed.  The idea here, by moving closer together, is to establish an enclave of law and order, in what is likely to become a continent of chaos and anarchy.  In time these enclaves WILL grow, because people always prefer order to chaos, and as a result Americans WILL convert to the Catholic Christian faith en mass, because they will see that Catholics actually have their act together (legally) while the few Protestant sects that remain fumble around trying to put something together in a trial and error process.  We Catholics have done all this before, during the Dark Ages, following the fall of the Roman Empire.  That's where Canon Law comes from.  So we actually have some experience with this.  The Protestants have no experience in this department -- zero!  Whatever enclaves they manage to set up will be quite a mess for some time, if they manage to survive at all.

So start doing your homework folks.  I don't know how much time we have left, but it can't be too much longer.  Maybe a decade, maybe two at the most, but the time is short -- very short.  Find those parishes and religious communities that are worth a darn, then work on a plan to get yourselves closer to them, or else find a way to get them closer to you.  If however, you are already blessed to live close enough to one of these parishes or monasteries, than it's your job to talk to your priest about helping distant parishioners move closer.  Perhaps some kind of 'parishioner rescue-relocation network' can be created.  Tick-Tock; the clock is running, so I guess we better get cracking!

The Pro-Life Movement Has Lost

(Florida Independent) - Nearly 60 percent of Mississippi voters yesterday defeated the state’s controversial “fetal personhood” amendment, an initiative that would have defined life as beginning at the moment of conception. Though support for Amendment 26 was much stronger than in other states with similar personhood bills, concerns over the potential consequences of the bill trumped support in the end.
Even some ardent anti-abortion advocates expressed concerns that the bill would not only outlaw abortion, but could affect in vitro fertilization and birth control use, as well.
National Right to Life was firmly opposed to Amendment 26, arguing that, if passed, the bill would lead to dozens of lawsuits — all of which could end up strengthening Roe v. Wade. Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour also expressed reservations about the measure, but ultimately voted in favor of it anyway.

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: It pains me to report that if the 'Personhood Amendment' could not pass in conservative Mississippi, than there is nowhere in the United States where it will pass. Americans have made their choice, and I am deeply saddened to say that my fellow Southerners led the way. The excuses voters made for this decision are unconscionable when you get right down to what they are saying: "We the voters of Mississippi, refuse to acknowledge the personhood of a pre-born human being, because it might create some complications in some of the conveniences we hold dear, such as in vitro fertilisation and morning after pills. Therefore, we the voters of Mississippi have chosen to refuse to acknowledge the personhood of pre-born children and continue to allow their wholesale slaughter in our state for this reason."

If this is the attitude of the majority of voters in one of America's most conservative states, than indeed there is no hope for us whatsoever. I have serious reservations now if even the South could rise independently after the fall of the federal government. This vote has likely defined the conscience of America's new conservative base. It is a conscience that is malformed and selfish. If this is the best the South has to offer, than indeed there is no hope for America, or for Dixie, and it truly is "over" for Western Civilisation.

Do not expect the mercies of God anymore. Do not expect God I protect America from her foolishness anymore. Do not expect God to spare us from the full effect of natural disasters anymore. Do not expect God to preserve our nation, our culture, or our people anymore. As is evident by the most neoconservative vote in Mississippi, we have consigned ourselves to the complete and total chastisement of God. We have consigned our people and our very identity to cultural annihilation. Whatever America gets now in the way of natural disasters, economic collapse, terrorist attacks or senseless wars; we had it coming. I say this pointing the finger at myself as an American. For if tomorrow God decided to let a meteor strike my house, I would say as an American I deserve it. Why should I consider myself any different than my neighbours?

Another High Tech Lynching

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: This article is specifically for my international readers. I want to show you exactly what kind of a racist hell our country has been, and who the harbingers of this inferno are today. They are now, and have been for the last thirty years or so, the Democratic Party and its elected officials in Washington DC. Readers of this blog know I am not a Republican, nor am I a conservative ideologue. Readers of this blog know I am a political Independent, an economic Distributist, and oppose both political parties as an anathema to the American way of life. This is one reason why. The political process in the United States has become so incredibly partisan that the various political parties have been literally fighting over racial demographics for the duration of my entire life -- all 40 years of it, and then some. Since the 1960s, the Democratic Party has been fighting to secure the "black vote" and has claimed that racial demographic for itself. Republicans have been vying for the "Asian vote." The "white vote" is split 50/50 between the two parties and always has been. Today's racial battle in America is over the "Hispanic vote," as both political parties have been fighting for two decades to get a hold on it. Yes, American politics is very much about race. It always has been, but not like you think. Things have changed a lot in the last fifty years. During the era of segregation, politicians fought over the "white vote" exclusively, manipulating various racial views on segregation and civil rights. After segregation ended, the racial politics shifted to the two parties trying to "claim" various racial demographics for themselves. It's been that way ever since.

Ever since the 1960s the Democrats have held a strong grip on the "black vote" in this nation. They do this by promising various "programs" for minorities (i.e. blacks) and promising better welfare, healthcare benefits and racial preferences (quotas). Of course, the idea here is to essentially "buy" votes by promising entitlements. Because of this, blacks have continued to needlessly suffer a disproportionate level of poverty in this country, as generations of black Americans become dependent on the entitlement system for their very sustenance. This method works very well for the Democrats, as they've been able to use it to secure a whole racial demographic almost exclusively. This has come to be called in many circles the "Democrat Plantation" hearkening back to images of slaves labouring on the plantations of the Old South during the Antebellum period, slaves who dared not leave for fear of what may come of them.

During the early 20th century the practice of lynching became quite common in various places throughout the United States. This is where white Nazi-style racists, usually called the Ku Klux Klan would take a black man and hang him from a tree by the neck, so as to send a message to all blacks in the region to "get out." Which many of them wisely did. Thankfully, we don't hear about lynchings anymore, but in my generation, I have witnessed a new type of lynching emerge on the national level, in a way that is so shocking and revolting that it makes me ashamed to be called an American.

When I saw this video above on television exactly 20 years ago, I was just as enraged then as I am now. I cannot tell you how angry this makes me. Based on the subtitle of this blog, "putting the sword to the tyranny of relativism," you probably can already tell I have a chip on my shoulder. It's a personal vendetta really, against the political and social anathema called relativism. I don't care to get into the details for this, but I will say it has destroyed my family, ruined my friends, and nearly (almost) ended my life. So until my dying breath I will fight back against relativism, in one way or another, because I hate it with all my being. Racism is a form of moral relativism, and this is especially true of political racism. When the Democratic Party does whatever it takes to keep the so-called "black vote," even to the point of the ends justifying the means, it commits racial relativism (i.e. racism). It infuriates me to no end, especially when a fine black man suffers because of it.

Twenty years ago, a fine man of colour (Clarence Thomas) ascended to the Supreme Court of the United States, based entirely on merit. There was no affirmative action and no racial preference used in this appointment. He was in every way the ideal set for our generation by the late great martyr for civil rights -- Martin Luther King Jr. For this he was persecuted beyond measure, his name dragged through the mud, his life nearly destroyed. His crime? He was a conservative, who took no favours from the federal government, and he was nominated to a high ranking political office by a Republican president. In this the Republican president violated an unwritten rule, that only Democrats could appoint blacks, and that fine man of colour (Clarence Thomas) broke a bigger unwritten rule in that he accepted the nomination! Once it was clear that Clarence Thomas had left the Democrat Plantation the high tech lynching began. Character assassination is the tool of this form of lynching, and 'sexual harassment' is the method in which the tool is used. The reason for this is simple. 'Sexual harassment' is difficult to prove and difficult to disprove. It is a 'crime' based entirely on the subjective opinions of the 'victim.' Whether or not the accused ever did anything wrong is almost always debatable. What is 'sexual harassment' anyway? In the United States it could consist of nothing more than a look, a gesture, or even a passing comment. As I said, it's based entirely on the perceptions of the alleged victim, and if that victim happens to be mentally disturbed (or looking for money) the alleged 'sexual harassment' could amount to literally anything -- or nothing at all. Most companies and government agencies are quick to pay alleged 'victims' because in doing so they can usually get a legal agreement to silence the case. This is regardless if the allegations are true or not, because the company or agency simply wants to avoid bad press. What better tool to use against a black man who has left the Democrat Plantation, and now by his own merits is ascending to one of the highest offices of the land. So this tool was used on Clarence Thomas in 1991, and so again it is now being used on Herman Cain in 2011. The message is clear. If you're a black man in the United States of America, and you dare to ascend to high political office based on your own merits, refusing to receive the help of the Democratic Plantation, than you will be lynched! Not on a tree, but in the media, and though you may not die as a result, you will be made to wish you had, because they will destroy the only thing that matters most to you -- your good name!

Clarence Thomas survived his high tech lynching, and he was appointed to the United States Supreme Court, where he sits as one of the finest justices we've ever had. To this day however, his name remains scarred, and few blacks will look up to him as an example, for fear of what the Democratic establishment might do to them should they dare to emulate him. Now twenty years later, another fine man of colour is suffering his own high tech lynching. Presidential candidate Herman Cain now joins the ranks of Clarence Thomas, as the Democrats in both the media and the government, attempt to do the same to him.

This disgusts me beyond measure. It is difficult for me to even write this. It causes me shame and embarrassment to be called an American when I see this. It is yet one more reason why I support the rise of an independent Dixie, knowing full well this Southern gentleman would receive better treatment running for president of a revived Confederacy than he would running for president of the United States! (Yes, I said it. Deal with it!) The South has learned its lessons from slavery and segregation.  We learned the hard way, and we are now especially sensitive to this kind of thing.  It is repulsive to us.  Watch and learn, my international readers. If Herman Cain should politically survive this high tech lynching, than he will sweep the South when the GOP primaries come, and I predict he will win every single Southern state -- every single one! First, however, he must survive what the Democrats and national media are trying to do to him. It's Clarence Thomas all over again. Below are two videos. One shows Clarence Thomas defending himself against the trumped up FALSE charge of 'sexual harassment' twenty years ago. The other shows Herman Cain defending himself against the exact same FALSE charge yesterday. Watch these videos, if you can stomach them, and just try to tell me this isn't the result of political racism. Just try to convince me these men aren't being strung up by a political machine hell bent on their personal destruction. In the later case, with Herman Cain, we are beginning to see the Democratic Party's fingerprints all over this, as one of Cain's accusers even works for the Obama administration!

We may have our political differences with Herman Cain. I certainly don't agree with him on everything, but after all is said and done, the man should be judged on the merits of his political ideas and the experience he offers as a CEO. He should not be judged on this three-ring political circus, this high tech lynching, this RACIST attempt to bring him down, because he never took a favour from the Democrat Plantation....

The New English Mass Translation Is Coming - And There Is Nothing You Can Do To Stop It !

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Of course why would we want to stop it, at least none of us who truly love the liturgy would want to stop it. Call it egotism if you want. Call it nothing more than shameless self-gratification, but every once in a while I like to stop blogging for a moment and say...

I first announced the changes to the English translation of the mass years ago. I believe it was way back in 2007. Of course I was immediately called into question. Many people said it would never happen. Those who admitted that it could happen, said it would likely be watered down. I told my readers here on this blog how much the U.S. Catholic Bishop's Conference was resisting it, and once again I was proved right when they voted down one of the reform books just before the Vatican approved another one, only to force the U.S. Catholic bishops to turn around and approve the very book they had voted down just prior.

It's been a long haul since I began covering this, but in just a matter of weeks now it will become reality.

But wait, there is more. I haven't led you wrong on the new translation, so there is no reason why you should doubt me on this. The new English translation is just the tip of the iceberg. More changes are coming, much bigger changes, but I do not know when. The pope has a committee working behind closed doors at the Vatican to completely reform the Ordinary Form (Novus Ordo) of the mass. Nothing is official yet. All of this is a work in progress, but some have seen the working drafts. Basically, the reformed Ordinary Form (Novus Ordo) mass is slated to look a lot more like the Extraordinary Form (Tridentine) mass when the time comes. The reforms are set to come in two parts. The first will be the Liturgy of the Word, which will not contain many changes at all. The second will be the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which will be a complete reworking to make it more like the 'Mass of the Faithful' in the Extraordinary Form. So in essence, the new mass is set to look a lot more like the old mass during the second half of the liturgy. Like I said, I don't know when this will come, but I think it's reasonable to assume that this pope finishes what he starts, just like the last pope. Let's not forget, this new English translation we are all about to soon enjoy, was originally commissioned by Pope John Paul II.

Who knows! If I'm still blogging in five to ten years (highly doubt it but who knows), maybe then I'll be able to say again...

They Shall Be Called Anglo Catholics

The Mass According to the Anglican Use of the Roman Rite
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Here in the United States, Anglicans entering the pope's personal ordinariate for 'Groups of Anglicans' will likely have to be called 'Anglo Catholics' or 'Anglo-Catholics,' with or without the hyphen.

The reasons for this are complex. The first reason has to do with the name 'Anglican Catholic' itself. The Catholic Knight has recently learned from a fellow blogger that some small splinter-group of traditional Anglicans, not interested in the ordinariate, are claiming a legal service mark to the term 'Anglican Catholic' and may be threatening legal action against anyone else who dares to use it. While in my opinion it is unlikely that this group can really service mark such a general term, I believe it is equally unlikely that the ordinary of the U.S. ordinariate will seek a legal challenge to it. Though I think he would likely win such a legal challenge, it's probably not worth the fight. The second reason has to do with the fact that there are more than just Anglicans entering the American ordinariate. A small contingency of Lutherans, calling themselves the 'Anglo-Lutheran Catholic Church' will also be joining the ordinariate. It would be inaccurate to describe this group as 'Anglican' per se' because they are not. They are Lutheran, and while they've obviously adopted some Anglican customs, they come from a form of Protestantism that originated in Germany under completely different pretences than the English Reformation. So to imply that they are 'Anglican' under an 'Anglican Catholic ordinariate.' Is somewhat of a misnomer.

The term 'Anglo,' coming from the Latin for the British tribes of 'Angles,' simply means 'English' and in a religious sense, it refers to the form and style of Christian worship that developed in the British isles. It is the same religious form used by high-church Anglicans, Anglo-Lutherans and the 'Anglican Use Pastoral Provision' parishes in the U.S. Catholic Church. So the term has a more broad base. While the ordinariate itself may be called anything under the sun, such as the 'Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham' as in England, and may possibly include the word 'Anglican' if that is the desire of those who control it, the term 'Anglo Catholic' might better be used as a loose, quick and informal way to refer to those Catholics who become members of the ordinariate.

The term 'Anglo-Catholic,' usually with a hyphen, has a long tradition of being used to describe high-church Anglicans anyway, and these are the type of Anglicans who are most likely to find interest in the pope's ordinariate. Removing the hyphen might be an easy way to loosely distinguish between those who are in the ordinariate and those who have yet to join. Those outside the ordinariate might be hyphenated 'Anglo-Catholic' while those inside the ordinariate might dispense of the hyphen 'Anglo Catholic.'

If the term 'Anglo Catholic' seems inappropriate, than about the only other term left is 'Anglican Use Catholic' as it is the term already used in the United States by the Anglican Use Pastoral Provision parishes.

Of course if none of these seem suitable than there is yet one last suggestion. The full Latin term for Anglican could be applied creating the term 'Anglicanus Catholic.'
